I need a friend!

Hi everyone, I am so glad there is a christian message board. I have felt so lonely on the OH web. I am currently not financially able to get the surgery yet, so I feel I am just waiting around going through the motions of life. I guess it is just one of those blah days for me. Seems the spiritual warfare around me is always going back and forth. i know that down and giving up is exactly were the enemy wants me. So I refuse to do that! God is good and faithful and His mercies are new every morning. I know that that is the truth. Sometimes my feelings don't line up with that truth. Guess that's were the blah comes from. Anyway just venting a little. I would appreciate your prayers and support, and hope I can return the favor someday! Thanks, Candy

Hello Candy, I'm sorry you are feeling blah. It is easy to get discouraged in life when it goes against the grain of our lives, but you must look at the other side of this situation. You are trying to do something about your life. You reconize the problem you are having with your weight and that alone is a huge success. There are so many people in the world that don't care enough about their lives or the lives they touch to do anything. Then, there are those who counldn't have surgery even if they had the money, because other health problems. You are luckier than you realize and you should thank God every day. I sure you do any way and I hope you continue to Glorify God in all that you do. May God carry you in his hands everyday of your life and continue to lift you up to His Glory. Thanks Ken! You are right that I am luckier or more blessed than I realize. I would hate to be told I couldn't have the surgery even if I had the money. I know the surgery is not the answer to all my problems. But I do believe it will be a tool to get me where I need to be. A healthier more confident person. I do thank God, He is everything to me. Thanks Letty! I was just looking at your profile. I really love the way you stayed so positive and connected to the Lord in the midst of your divorce. I can not imagine the pain that must go along with that. And the pain you have for your son. I am glad the Lord has been carrying you through and keeping you together. May He continue to do so. Your right God led me to this board, I am so grateful! I really need the support. I can feel my spirit swelling when reading about the Lords goodness and your love for Him! Welcome, Candy. God created us to do life together. And sharing our feelings is part of that plan. We have a church small group that meets at our home and this board seems to be a similar type place. We are a small group and though we don't see each other physically, we feel like a family. We've been down and we've rejoiced. We've heard of peolpes trials and we've praised the blessings. We know we're not alone, whether it be someone from the forum or the good Lord Himself showing His presents. Tell Jesus how you feel. Thank you Glenn! You sound like a small group leader i used to have that would say "we are doing life together"! Feelings are tricky things. I certainly have not mastered them yet. I have learned though that I can not be controlled by them. Or even when I FEEL alone, that is really not true. Sometimes it is hard to connect the brain to the heart. I am glad we have people here to help keep us in line. I know God did not intend for us to go through this life alone. I am very thankful for that. peace to you also, Candy
