I'm home and....
....Feeling much better! I can eat and drink without feeling sick at all. I had a narrowing, and a small stricture at the anastomosis side(sorry but I don't remember what the anastomosis side means~even though he told me what it was). The E.G.D. wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. All I remember about it is I was gagging, I thought I was going to throw up, and someone saying not to do that. The I.V. went in with very little pain. This is a first for me . They did have to use a needle that was intended for use on an infant ,the toddler one was to big. I have a bit of a sore throat, but feel pretty good. The Dr. said I may not ever have to have this done again~but mostly likely would have to do it again. Maybe as soon as 2 days or as long as a few week's. Whatever the case, It feels good to be able to eat and drink without being sick! Thank you all for your encouragement, and support when I was not sure what I should do.
Love you guy's you're the bestest
God bless you all,
Annette
Hi Annette!
So glad to hear you are feeling better! FYI the anastomosis is the place where your new "connection" is. Technically...a surgical union of parts. I used to help with EGDs and such when I worked in the OR. I hope you don't have to go through it again, but it sounds like you've got a good doctor from everything I have been reading, and you are also in the hands of the Great Physician!
Take care!
Stephanie
