Anyone on Bluecross?

Hi Kathy,
I have BCBS of GA and my husband & I were denied 3 times each over the course of a year, but I am a very determined person and appealed and called to speak w/ someone at customer service and found out why they denied. My pcp helped alot by sending my medical records and writing a letter for us. My policy said that WLS is not covered, but I was able to prove my medical reasons. We had to go through psych eval, sleep study, etc. Good luck and tell them to not give up (that's what the insurance company wants you to do).

Good Morning Kt B,
How are you doing this morning? I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Every BCBS is different. It depends on what the employer is willing to pay for. The first thing we can do for your friend is lift him up in prayer and ask God to please give him the encourgement he needs to persue WLS again. Remember though, obesity is like any other addiction. A person can't get help until they are ready to get help. He has to really want to have surgery. There are resourses out there to help him fight the INS CO. Go to main OH web site and look around, because I believe that there is some info on this very subject. I just said a prayer for your friend and I ask that you and everyone you know continue to pray for this person and the INS CO. God will makes things happen, but only if we have the faith and knowledge that it will happen and this is obtained only through Jesus Christ. God bless you and your friend.

Hi Kathy!
I love your picture! It is nice to see a face - it is easier to make connections! I am like Peg, I have Federal Blue Cross and it took them a whole 2 days to approve me. I know insurances are different even within the Blue Cross system. I will be praying for your friend and her husband. Love ya and again - love the picture!
God Bless,
Lynda
