***MONDAY'S ROLL CALL***
Good afternoon everyone! What a great New Year this will be for us all if we follow God's will and continue to abide in Him! Here are my answers to taday's questions: 1. I will learn to be a better teacher to my Sunday school group, and strive to be a leader in this field, and in forming a more advanced SS program. Also be a better housekeeper with the help of wls, and increased energy, mobility. Lots of others, but those are the first and foremost, and may be all I can handle along with wls recovery and diligence!! 2. Other than salvation, the greatest miracle was childbirth and being a mother!! #3. I can't remember ever dreading a birthday, other than it always represented another year in overweight misery. #4. I met my husband when I was 17y/o. My best friend's father was in the Naval Hosp. in Bremerton, Wa. He always hated my choice in boyfriends, and said he found me a good one. I tried to avoid his matchmaking, but the next time I went to see him, John was there waiting, and I think as doubtful as myself! But as shy as he was, we made a match and were married in 1969!! He was a Corpsman in the Navy, and assigned to this man while he was in the hosp. He saved his life one day, and from than on, John was A-1 in his book. Came to be in mine, too!! #5 We got our first computer in 2005, and are still trying to figure it all out!!Love, Kathy B
Hello everyone and welcome to the newbies. We are so glad to have you on board. Well, we finally made it back to Georgia after being at home in Arkansas for about a week. It was nice to see family and friends.
Well, here are my answers to the QODs:
1. Besides continuing to loose weight, what goals do you have for 2006?
I haven't really thought about any goals (and actually I've lost about all I'll probably lose since I am 3 years postop). I would like to become stronger in my love for the Lord and knowledge of his word. I would also like a home of my own and quit renting.
2. Other than your precious salvation, what is the greatest miracle in your life? My family. I have a husband who loves me unconditionally and two beautiful girls. What more could you ask for?
3. Did you ever dread a birthday? If so, which one?
I have never dreaded a birthday. I only dread them if nobody remembers it. I will be 39 on February 7th. Why dread them?! They are coming whether you like it or not so just enjoy them.
4. If married or dating, how did you meet your spouse/date?
Paul and I met at college in 1985. I was a freshman and he was a junior. We got married in 1988. Our 18th wedding anniversary is coming up on February 12th.
5. What year did you get your first computer?
Oh gosh, sometime in the early 90's I would say. That is just a guess. We were still living in Fayetteville, AR and Paul was working on his masters degree.
Well, everyone have a wonderful afternoon. It has been raining like crazy down here. Some of the storms were a bit scary but God took care of us. Anyway, I'll ttyl.

Hi, 1. Besides continuing to loose weight, what goals do you have for 2006?. I am really seeking the Lord about starting a christian based WLS support group. There are a lot of things pointing towards this. I want to make sure that it His plan, not mine. Please pray for me in this.
2. Other than your precious salvation, what is the greatest miracle in your life? My children. Luke Andrew, 24, his name Luke means Light, his name Andrew means manly, (he sure is). Luke is serving in the Air Force, just back from Kuwait. I have had a miracle of peace through out his 5 1/2 years of service.
My son Joseph Elias, 22, Joseph means "God will increase" Elias means "The Lord is my God" . Joseph is in England right now going to school for a short time, and my beautiful adopted daughter, 13 (whom I did not get to name) her name is Nicole Michelle Dominique which means "Victorious overcomer, beautiful, belonging to the Lord" Wow, her name means so much to me. Her birth mother (my sister) had no idea what her names meant. Nicole was born heroin addicted and I have been through a lot with her, but am bolding claiming God's promises for her life. They are my miracles!
3. Did you ever dread a birthday? If so, which one? I used to dread my 50th, but I just turned 49 a couple of weeks ago, with my WLS in 3 weeks, I can't wait for my 50th! I will be starting a new life with my new body! I am hoping to be 100 lbs thinner for my birthday and I am hoping to have plastic surgery for my 50th birthday.
4. If married or dating, how did you meet your spouse/date? I have been divorced for 17 years. Who knows what the Lord has in store? I am hoping to be married again some day.
5. What year did you get your first computer? 1992, it was a Mac II with a MAC printer. It cost more than my new Honda civic I bought back in 1975!
