Hi Cindy Please keep me in prayer. Tomorrow I get my last preop test done (echocardiogram) and it is also my last day at work. I have been told that there is a good chance that once everyone is settled in at my job that there could be openings. I was told to call them once I get medical clearance and see what is available. I think they want to put me the the accounting dept. Only thing is the new corperate office is 30 miles away. QOD: 1. Get back on track financially. I know that what is holding my back from getting the "perfect" job is my low self image. I believe that once I start loosing weight I will put myself out there and not be intimidated to send out my resume. 2. My children. I look at them when they are sleeping and I am in awe of how wonderful they are and how much of a blessing they are. 3. I'm only 26, so I'll have to say "not yet". Although I fear that 30 is going to depress me. 4. We both worked at Wendy's when we were 17. We were friends and a group of us went bowling one night after work. We just started holding hands and here we are 9 years later still holding hands. 5. June of 1997 Love ya, Dawn 15 more days

Did you ever dread a birthday? If so, which one? Yes. My 21st. birthday. I had planned on commiting suicide on that day. As you can see, I'm still here Thank you Jesus. #4. If married or dating, how did you meet your spouse/date? Do you really want to know? I was a really bad girl, untill about 10 years ago(this May). 5. Good Afternoon everyone!!! Sorry that I haven't been around, it has been a very busy couple of weeks. I hope that everyone has had a blessed and safe New Year. I just know that this is going to be the year that is filled with God's glory and only through Him will we be able to achieve anything. 1. Besides continuing to loose weight, what goals do you have for 2006? My goals for the year - I have several: Spiritually, I want to grow more in the Word and be more active at our Church. Physically: I will continue to work on preparing myself for WLS. I still have 2 months of my Physcian supervised diet and then I wait for word from my insurance company. Lastly, I will be graduating in May and have a tough semester ahead of me. With God watching over me, I will be able to handle this and whatever else he has planned for me PTL!! 2. Other than your precious salvation, what is the greatest miracle in your life? My husband. He is such an inspiration to me. He is always challenging me to be the best me that I can be. He takes such good care of me, but more so, takes care of my family like I have always wanted to be able to. 3. Did you ever dread a birthday? If so, which one? Actually, I am not looking forward to this birthday coming up. I will be 35 and I really wanted to be a lot further a long in my life than I am right now. Like I said before though, I can just tell that this is going to be my year. 4. If married or dating, how did you meet your spouse/date? I am married and believe it or not, we met online. We have been together for almost 4 years and married 19 months of that time. 5. What year did you get your first computer? Boy, I think that I got my first computer in the mid 90's. I really can't remember the exact year. I hope that you all have a great day. Love you all, Jeanna

Happy New Year, my dear Christian brothers and sisters! It is a glorious day, and I am so glad to be alive! Thank you, Lord, for watching over all of us. Thank you for getting me through 2005...alive! It was such a tough year, but the Lord was always with me and carried me when I couldn't stand on my own. He is so faithful and good. PTL! Isn't it fun to see new people on our board and to have others coming back to post? We are growing in numbers, and we are here to pray for each other and to draw strength from each other...through our dear Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Here are my answers. Love, Peg 1. Besides continuing to lose weight, what goals do you have for 2006? Be in the Word. Draw closer to the Lord every day. Get healthy. 2. Other than your precious salvation, what is the greatest miracle in your life? That I made it to 2006! PTL! My husband and family are also the greatest miracles in my life. You can't measure love that is poured out in such abundance. 3. Did you ever dread a birthday? If so, which one? I dreaded 25. I had married at 18 and had my first son just a month before I turned 20. By 25, I had been married almost 7 years and had 2 sons ages 5 and 2 1/2. Many of my friends had gone on to college, and I felt like I had been left behind. I am now 56, and I LOVE every birthday I have! 4. If married or dating, how did you meet your spouse/date? I met my DH at a dance. I was almost 16, and he was 20. He thought I WAS 16! I wonder how he got that idea? Of course, when I turned 16 the following month, I had to "fess up!" The only reason my folks let me date him was because our dads knew each other...plus my mom made me double date for a few times before she allowed me to go out with him alone. He is such a sweetie. He won my whole family over in no time! That was 40 years ago, and we just celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary the day after Thanksgiving. 5. What year did you get your first computer? "1985!" Can you believe that! It was very limited, and we had to know a little bit of the language BASIC, but we made it work for some simple tasks and games. Then we moved on to the Apple Macintosh. Much better. I loved that computer. We have never been without one since then.

Good Afternoon Cindy and Everyone! What a blessing to read all your answers to todays questions! I am so happy today because it is ski time tonight!!! I love night skiing! My husband called up to the mountain for the snow report and there is 6 inches of new powder - Thank You Lord! Isn't it exciting how God is growing this board! I am so excited! I love talking to all of you and hearing your encouraging posts and praying with you and for you for the disappointments and the hard times and rejoicing in the good times. It is so cool to be in this together even though we all may be at different points - we all know what it is like to struggle with weight issues. Answers: 1. Besides continuing to loose weight, what goals do you have for 2006? To purposefully study God's Word and listen to the conviction of the Holy Spirit. 2. Other than your precious salvation, what is the greatest miracle in your life? My husband and family - and now grandbaby #3 on the way!!! 3. Did you ever dread a birthday? If so, which one? None of them, in fact, every year gets more exciting. When I turned 30 I was saying, "Thank you Lord for bringing me through my teens and 20s," and when I turned 40 I thanked Him again, and I will soon be 50 (2 years) and hopefully I will again thank Him! Each year is one year closer to "looking upon the face that saved me by His grace!" 4. If married or dating, how did you meet your spouse/date? I met my husband in college through our engineering classes and Campus Crusade for Christ. We were friends for a long time and then we just fell in love through the Lord's leading. The first time he kissed me was when he asked me to marry him - it was so romantic - it was snowing (does that give you an indication of one reason I may like snow so much!?). 5. What year did you get your first computer? 1992 and boy was it expensive! But I just kept saying, "boy, I could have blown my college professors away if I would have had one of these!" Great questions Cindy! We are so blessed and God is so good! I am looking forward to what God has in store for all of us on this board! Exciting! I love ya all! God Bless, Lynda Phil. 4:8

Good Evening All! i only have a minute to post, but in reading the QOD #4 really interest me. When you met your husbands, were you severely overweight? I have a BMI of 58, and I am single. How do you find and nice Christian man, who accepts us for how we look? I am 46, never married, and usually too uncomfortable with my apperance to go out looking, and where would I look, I dont like bars, And part of my new year plans is to try to share more of my life with someone. Hi Maureen, Neither me or Nick were saved when we met. When we first met I was about 230 pounds (size 18). He had made a comment one night about me being fat. This was before we started dating. Right before that a guy had said, "I thought cows lived on a farm, not working at Wendy's". I went on a crash diet, lost 33 pounds and fit into a size 14 in 30 days. All of a sudden he found an interest in me. Since we got married we have both gained weight, but mine was to the tune of 112 pounds. He says he loves me how I am and that I am beautiful; but deep down I always remember that 17 year old saying I was fat.

Hi, Maureen In response to your question, I met my husband when I weighed 275 pounds. I was wearing a size 26/28. I wasn't really looking for a husband when I met him. I was divorced 2 years earlier and did not want to experience that heart ache again. Where to meet elgible single men? According to my mother, at church. Join the college/career class and the christian singles activities. I guess I was fortunate since God played match-maker in my life. My husband has stated that he likes "women with meat on their bones". I will pray that God will lead you in the right direction if a mate is in his plans for your life. Kathy from MO
