***SATURDAY ROLL CALL***
Good Morning Everyone!
Well it is the end of another year! God has been so good through both the disappointments and victories! I am praising God for so many things and right up there is this surgery. I can't believe the changes and I am amazed everyday. Today I go into Curves to finish up my final training phase to be a fitness trainer. Last night I was watching one of my training videos and the trainer said that this job is a ministry - I started to cry because I really can't believe I am doing something like this and God has given me this opportunity.
I want to let everyone know what a blessing you all have been to me. I know with the holidays that some of the regulars haven't been posting and I miss you and it is so exciting to see so many new people join us and old ones come back! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers and encouragement - it has made the journey easier!
Questions Today:
1. What is your favorite form of exercise?
2. Do you keep track of your heart rate when exercising and do you know what your target heart rate should be? Here is a web site to help you understand a target heart rate: http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=4736
3. If you could do any physical activity you wanted to with no restrictions - what would you do?
My answers:
1. Duh! Skiing! But I really do like the Curves workout - I have been doing it for 6 years. I am also doing water aerobics and they are wonderful and easy on the joints!
2. Yes, and I take it often to make sure I am exercising at optimum benefit. Too fast of a heart rate is counter productive just as too slow of one is. Target is the key!
3. Duh! Extreme skiing!
I love all of you and wish you a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!
God Bless,
Lynda

1. I love playing volleyball and boxball. I played a little boxball the other at the youth center. It was fun! I also played a little racketball yesterday! I look forward to being able to play like I used to! I have been trying to go in to the center everyday and walk for thirty minutes! It's wonderful!
2. No.
3. Swimming, water skiing.....?
Hi Cindy!
I have missed you the last few days! It is wonderful to hear from you! The youth center sounds like a great place and I am sure you will enjoy it more and more as time goes on and your weight continues to drop! Each day that I am able to do a little more I get really excited and it is so neat we are on this journey together trying new things and conquering them step by step with the help of the Lord! I love you and I pray you have a great New Year!
God Bless,
Lynda
Phil. 4:8
Good morning Lynda,and everyone else,
All of our snow here melted right after CHRISTmas. It snowed again last night. We have about 2" on the ground. I have been feeling much better. I don't think I need the scope on Tuesday. I can eat and drink with no problem now. What do you all think, should I cancel it? I feel fine, it's amazing.
Q.O.T.D.
#1. What is your favorite form of exercise?
Walking.
#2. Do you keep track of your heart rate when exercising and do you know what your target heart rate should be?
No
#3. If you could do any physical activity you wanted to with no restrictions - what would you do?
Rollerblade, Ice skate, run, canoe, climb mountains
God bless you all,
Annette
Hi Annette,
Praise the Lord you are feeling better - you have been in my prayers. I agree with Peg, you need to still call your doctor about the situation. The same thing happened to me at 6 weeks out and just going back to the liquid diet and warm drinks seemed to get me pass the difficult time and everything is fine now. But after saying all that, I still think you need to consult with the doctor and let them know what is going on and let them help you make a decision.
Climbing mountains sounds fun and it sounds like you just climbed one with this set back in eating! I am so pleased you can eat and drink just fine now! I love you!
God Bless,
Lynda
Phil. 4:8
Good morning fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. I agree with Lynda. God has been so faithful to me and my family. I never could have made it through these two surgeries without Him and without the support of my family and friends. I just want to continue to serve the Lord with all my heart this coming year, and I pray that each of us will draw nearer to Him.
I am so anxious to be able to get back to doing the kinds of exercises that I love. Right now, I am very limited because of my surgeries and because of my shoulders. However, God never gives us more than we can handle, so I am trusting in Him to see me through all of the physical therapy and know that I will come out on the other side stronger because of what I have been through. So, here are my answers:
1. What is your favorite form of exercise? Dancing
2. Do you keep track of your heart rate when exercising and do you know what your target heart rate should be? Pretty much. Right now, the only form of real aerobic exercising that I can do is walking, and I keep the tempo at a point where I am working, but still able to talk with my DH.
3. If you could do any physical activity you wanted to with no restrictions - what would you do? More dancing! Lots of different styles. I love music!
God bless you all, and I will talk with you again in a brand new year!
Love,
Peg
Hi Peg,
You look like a dancer with your beautiful graceful neck and then there is your love of music! I will pray that God will give you your heart's desire. The more I find out about you the more I like - you are an incredible woman and a dear sister in the Lord! I love you!
God Bless,
Lynda
