 Hello everyone! We...
Hello everyone! We are back from our trip to Seattle/Tacoma. Had a wonderful time, and were truely blessed in a quiet and relaxing way. Hubby sure needed it! Well, now I am back to concentrating on the upcoming surgery. Soon my package should arrive with vitamins, protein samples, etc. I can't tell you how much help it has been to have you all here. I feel assured of prayer support, and encouragement. All of the family has been supportive of my decision, Praise God! One thing that has been creeping into my mind again is; I wonder if I were just to put as much effort into eating properly as I have into preparing for this surgery.........You know how the thoughts and doubts go I am sure. Generally, tho, I am at peace about it. I asked God to stand in the way if I was wrong in this, but everything has gone so quickly!! I just don't believe in my heart that I would do it and be able to continue for the rest of my life!! As it is, my hips are worse daily, lots of pain and doubling up on my pain pill dosage at least once a day. I just don't see another good option aside of being locked up and having a personal dietician!! Well, I have carried on!! I do do other things with my mouth than moan and complain! Like praying for you in your journeys, and thanking Jesus for my dear brothers and sisters in Christ!! Isn't it glorious to be re-born into such a family?? The power of God....AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to answer the ?of the day as soon as I can. Have downloaded the papers for use with others as well. Have a great day!! It's been snowing here like mad, and I plan to go out in it soon to get groceries and to the Post Office. Am thankful for stud-tires. Love in Christ, Kathy (KtB)
Hi Kathy. I'm glad you made it home safely. Doubts are bound to spring up at this time with your surgery fast approaching. However, it sounds like God answered your prayers in the speed in which everything is going. Pretty soon you will be through the surgery and back home with your family. God will see you through this, and we will continue to pray for you. Do keep us posted on how you are doing.
Love,
Peg
Hi Kathy!
Welcome back! I had and am still having those doubts - I am 2 1/2 months out and so far, so good, and what a blessing it has been! So far my surgery has worked just like it is suppose to. I tried eating some sweets at Christmas time and dumped - not pleasant - thank you Lord! I used the pun at Thanksgiving that instead of "stuffing" my face (with my favorite stuffing), I enjoyed the fellowship of my family. You will learn coping mechanisms that fit you best - it seems like we all have our little tricks and I am looking forward to hearing what yours are! But the really neat part is, we have the Lord, we have a place to go that truly gives us the strength to use this surgery to our best benefit. I cannot say it enough - this surgery has been a miracle!!
And speaking of snow! - It is snowing here in Utah as well! I moved from Idaho Falls, ID last year and I do miss it, especially the Tetons and skiing in Jackson Hole, WY. Yes, this surgery has made it to where I can ski to my heart's content. The skiing is good here in Utah too but I do miss Idaho. I am thankful for studded tires too and a cute little Subaru! Love ya and again welcome back!
God Bless,
Lynda
