***WEDNESDAY ROLL CALL***
Good Morning Everyone!
I pray that everyone is doing well after the busy, wonderful weekend of the celebration of our Lord and Savior! There hasn't been much action on the board this week so a lot of us must be out of town or still resting up! I usually don't start the roll call so I guess I will have to come up with some questions. Ok, here I go...
1. What was your favorite Christmas gift this year?
2. How did your eating go this past weekend with all the goodies and food around?
3. What are your favorite foods right now?
I am praying for all of you and asking God to Bless you and meet you at your place of need. I love all of you!
God Bless,
Lynda

See! I didn't even answer my own questions! Silly girl!
Answers:
1. After we prayed for Christmas dinner my son-in-law, Alex said that they had a special before dinner gift that they would like to give my husband and I. So he passed a wrapped box around the table. It was kind of neat - like what could this possibly be? My husband began to unwrap it and I caught a glimpse of what it was and I totally freaked out, started to hyperventilate immediately and stood up to go hug my daughter, had no legs (from the hyperventilating) and fell down - I was so excited!!! The gift was baby booties - I am going to be a grandma again! This will be number 3!! I announced that I didn't need anymore gifts this year because that one was perfect! God is so good!
2. Ok, with the food I did struggle a bit. Started out great and was very careful. I did try some sweets and was very sorry I did (dumped) but I am still learning and giving this eating over. I am so thankful for this surgery because I can't get away with anything!
3. Favorite foods right now are: nuts, cheese, raw spinach, and milk.
I love all of you!
God Bless,
Lynda

Hello Lynda!!
1. What was your favorite Christmas gift this year?
I have to admit it was from my coworker. She have me a napkin holder with the salt and pepper shakers and I love it! I put it on my dinning table last night and it looks veryyyyyy ppeeerrrrrrty! (being silly on my spell check!). My sister gave me a silly one, she gave me a piece of RED lingerie with a G string. YES, can you believe that?? I was so embarrassed because my boyfriend had opened it for me!! Never worn one of those and I don't think I'll ever will!!
2. How did your eating go this past weekend with all the goodies and food around? My eating was I guess...OK. I ate a Mexican dish my sister prepared called pozole but she made it out of chicken instead of pork and it was delicious. I did eat some chocolates from the box of chocolates my boyfriend gave me and felt a little nauseas but no serious dumping.
3. What are your favorite foods right now? It's fish soup made out with cabbage and red snapper. I eat it every Monday at this seafood restaurant close to my job. mmmmm I'm getting hungry now!!
Thanks for posting this!
Letty
Hi Lynda, hello everyone else,
Hope you enjoyed The best holiday there is ~ CHRISTmas~
Thank you Father for the best gift of all Your son Jesus who was born into this world to give His life on a cross for us. That gift just cannot be topped.
Q.O.T.D.
#1. My grandson gave me a tealight candle lamp. He picked it out himself. It has a clear base with red and white roses in it. The shade for it is made from white glass. Then he got me a rose shaped tealight candle to go in it. He is so sweet. Once he saw the lamp he had to get it for his grandma.
#2. I'm having trouble eating (see post).
#3. Usually cottage cheese, but right now nothing.
God bless you all,
Annette
Good morning everyone! It's still morning on the west coast, so this is early posting for me! Thanks for getting things going, Lynda. I had physical therapy on my shoulders again today and I go on Friday too. I see the orthopedist on January 13th, and I see a hand surgeon on February 8th. This is good news because my PCP really takes things seriously and is referring me to specialists. Hopefully, these two doctors can work wonders and get me back in working order again because I am ready to go go go! I am so grateful to be feeling better after my surgery in August. Praise the Lord! Thank you for all your prayers. Prayers sure do work!
My DH and I are going to pick up our two grandsons at 2 p.m. today and keep them overnight. They are 8 and 4, so we will have a ball. They only live 5 minutes from our house. Lynda, I am just thrilled about your Christmas present! It just doesn't get any better than welcoming new life into the world. Congratulations, Grandma, and we will pray that little one here. Now, onto the QODs.
1. What was your favorite Christmas gift this year? My DH got me tickets to go see the musical "Mama Mia" with him January 1st.
2. How did your eating go this past weekend with all the goodies and food around? So so. I unfortunately don't have the dumping problems with eating sweets. I am at my lowest weight, though, so I have been watching it a bit. I just need to keep going. My PCP and I set my goal weight yesterday at 170 lbs, so I only have 33 to go. Yay!
3. What are your favorite foods right now? SF popsicles, cheese, tacos, SF vanilla lattes, Chinese anything.
God bless and keep you, my dear brothers and sisters in Christ.
Peg
Hi Lynda,
Did you get the email I sent you?
What a wonderful Christmas surprise!!! Congrats!!
QOD:
1. My mother gave me a $100 bill. Two weeks ago I would have thought, "that's nice". But the ways things are now i just started to cry and hug her. My father is getting ready to retire Dec 31 and they are being tight with their money because he doesn't know when his checks will start coming in. So for them to give me that showed me that even though I am all grown up they still put me before themselves.
2. As you saw in my past post I got a date of Jan 16th. I used this weekend as an opportunity to be a gluton. I ate anything and everything, then went back for seconds.
3. Right now my favorites are anything that I know I will have to give up soon. Other than this past weekend I have been eating poor choices but in moderation. Simply because I wanted to have "tastes" of my sinful delights before I had to kiss them goodbye.
Love,
Dawn
ok I am here, late again, but here nonetheless!!
QOTD:
1. The best Christmas gift I got was the approval from my insurance, then the other was the family and friends I had in my company at Christmas!!! I couldnt ask for more than that, besides I am so totally spoiled rotten I didnt ask for anything more than that
2. I guess I did ok with all the goodies, I ate too much for Christmas, but I think it was because I know that I soon will not be able to do so.
3. Hmmmm this one is tough, I dont have a really favorite food right now, Like Letty I had some Pozole, I made a washpot of it!!! and I also had too many tamales this year.
Lynda I am thrilled to know that you will have another of God's little miracles in your life!! I pray that all goes well!
Steph
