getting to the core of their hatred for us

I was running errands early this morning, just getting ready for the Christmas party in my office. So there I was minding my own business and this guy started acting weird, harrassing me, while driving. I tried not to acknowledge him, but it did make me worry a bit. A few minutes went by and I thought he had disappeared. All of sudden he was standing right next to me in the parking lot at the grocery store. He just stared at me and then said," I HATE people like you!!" The lady walking by was scared and she showed me her cell phone, in order to let me know she'd call police if necessary. Then he noticed her gesture and yelled, "F----Y--! Christian B-----! and then got in his car and drove off. I suppose he had seen the cross hanging from my mirror gave me away. I was one of "them". Looking back I must admit it was upsetting and scary. I know he didn't hate me, but my God, the one true God. It does help to put it in perspective, knowing their anger is not on us but rather, the one we Love. As a mere human, I fail to recognize this and begin to be pridefully angry and ready to fight. I have to remember to stop and pray for those lost lonely people. In addtion, as a healthy defender of the faith, I will always proclaim him before man, with boldness, and NEVER back down. Amen and Amen. Sally Merry Christmas Friends

Oh my goodness Sally!! You must have been shaking like a leaf. I have never had anything like that happen to me thank God. I do wonder what people think of the air freshener that hangs from my mirror. It reads: Dieing for me with the most He could do, living for Him is the least I can do. I think that this person was full of envy rather than hate. He is envious of that fact that you can have peace that passes all understanding. He is envious that you have a hiding place in times of trouble. He is envious that when you are weak, you have a Strong Tower. There is something missing in his life and he knows it, he just wont accept it. All you can do is pray for people like this. Matthew 7:14 says "Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it" Thank God we are part of the few. Did you know that statistically a non-believer will hear the gospel 7 times before they show interest? We must plant the seed and allow others to water it, and God will get the increase (1 Corth 3:7). Do you know that you gave an awesome testimony by not saying a word? You could have fought or cursed and looked like a hypocrite, but instead you stood firm and when he thinks back on that incident he will not be able to say one bad thing about you. God bless, Dawn

Thanks for the encouragement. I have to be honest with you, all that kept going through my mind was....."He's so angry and is he going to hurt me?" "What in world did I do to make him so mad?" "Geez, all this because I have a cross in my window?" I fought the flesh, the temptation to act out and get all righteous with him, ya' know? It's all a memory now. And no matter what, I just pray that his anger one day will go away, not remain in him and that his heart of rage will soften to the gospel. Sally

Those who deserve love the least...... need it the most. I thank God for His protection for you and pray for the individual that is so bitter. luvitsunnyv

Hi Sally. What an experience! You may one day be able to use it as part of your testimony. Love, Peg

Wow Sally - the Lord was with you! I wonder what he thinks of all the rock stars and movie stars, etc. who think it is fashionable to wear crosses - does he hate them too! Totally weird! I get so upset when I see some woman on a magazine cover at the store almost naked with a cross hanging around her neck. This man today was totally from the enemy because he sensed something different about you. I am sorry that you had this experience but it sounds as though God used it as an object lesson of His desire for you to pray for such people. Love ya! God Bless, Lynda Phil. 4:8
