Good Morning Dawn and Everyone! I couldn't tell you were in a slump - you kept ministering and encouraging and turning it over to God - I wouldn't call that a slump - I would call that VICTORY IN JESUS! Answers: 1. Gayle - yes spelled with a y. That is why my first name Lynda is spelled with a y. Same middle name as my mom and grandma! 2. Football hands down! Love to watch skiing too, but I can do that (thank you Lord)! 3. A brain surgeon! My third grade teacher wrote a note to my parents (that I still have) saying that I had some high aspirations. For the life of me I still cannot figure out where I got that or why I thought that would be cool. After I got married I just wanted to be a wife and mother. 4. Lilacs - they only bloom once a year and if anyone gives them to me I know they didn't come from a florist shop but that they made the effort to pick them - one of my favorite smells too! Love ya all and praying that your Christmas Season is full of joy! God Bless, Lynda Phil. 4:8

Hi, Lynda I received your e-mail this morning. You have such a sweet spirit that carries across through your e-mails. You must truly be a spirit-filled woman. I have a cousin who spells her name--Gayle with a "y" also. What a neat family tradition naming daughters after the maternal side of the family! I also like the smell of lilacs. When we lived in Texas I had a lilac bush that grew outside my bedroom window. I loved the fragrance that filled my room when it was blooming. I asked John if he received your e-mail and he said he couldn't find one from you, I don't have an e-mail address for you so could you either resend a message to him or send me your e-mail address. Thanks! Only three more days to Christmas. We will be spending Christmas morning at church in worship. I can hardly wait since there will be lots of vocal specials from the childrens choir, youth band, adult choir, and the B.A.S.I.C. (Brothers and Sisters in Christ) choir, you have to be over 50 to join this choir. I hope your Christmas is filled with lots of laughter, smiles, and happy memories. Kathy

Hi Kathy! You are so sweet and I really appreciate the encouragement - I thank God for you and my other friends on this board - it is like my place to go when I am traveling this WL journey and you know what? I know I have made some life long friends here that though we may not meet here we will in eternity and I am thanking God! My husband and I want to get an email to your husband before Christmas. This is the email we sent it to: [email protected]. Is that right? My email is [email protected]. I know Christmas for you won't be the same without Johnny but it is my prayer that God will surround you with His love and joy and that God will keep Johnny safe in Iraq and bring him home safely. I love you! God Bless, Lynda Phil. 4:8

Good Morning All - Sorry that I haven't been around much, things were crazy after we returned from AZ. The Lord has blessed me greatly, he was definitely with me when I was presenting my final project this semester. PTL!! I have been receiving a flurry of Christmas Cards, thank you so much for all that have sent one. It is great, this has been a wonderful way for me to share this board with my DH. He keeps asking who all of you are and thinks that this is a great place for support and encouragement through God and through all of you. You should all be receiving your cards any day now, I haven't forgotten about any of you. Now for the QOD: My middle name - Marie (it has been passed down to the first girl born on my mom's side for who knows how long). Sports - goodness, it really is a tie between football and baseball. I am an avid fan of both. What did I want to be when I was a child - secretly I still would love to be this, a performer. I remember dressing up as a ballerina in 1st grade when we were asked to dress in what we would like to be when we grow up. However, that will never be a complete possibility, but I would love to be able to be on stage. It is my gift from God and I can't wait to share that again and Praise His Name for all to hear. My favorite flower - Calla Lily. They are so beautiful and elegant. Then again, all flowers are beautiful and elegant coming from God's almighty hand. I love you all and will continue to pray for each and everyone of you my friends and Children of God. Jeanna

Hi, Dawn I have to say I agree with Lynda. I never would have known you were in a slump because you have maintained such a postitive & encouraging attitude. Here is my answers to your questions 1. Denise. When I was younger I never could remember if it was Denise or Dennis. My third grade teacher finally broke me of misspelling my middle name. 2. Any sport my children would be involved in. A mother's pride and support is very important to their young ego's. If my children are not participating in any sports than I would like to watch figure skating. I used to watch football when I was in my teens but somehow I can't develop the same enthusiasm since Tom Landry left the Dallas Cowboys. 3. A lawyer or a mortician. I don't know why I wanted to be either one. Probably because I used to love to debate my family now I don't. They have a mortician school in Kansas City. I thought about checking into it and seeing what the requirements would be. There should be job security since people are dying all the time. 4. It is so hard to choose. Lilacs. I love the smell when the bush blossoms. Honeysuckle because I love to watch hummingbirds when they are feeding on the blooms. These are good questions Dawn. Kathy

Kathy, There is a mortician school here in NJ too. I have a friend that is one. His father is one, so he joined in with him and they added "& Son" to the name of the funeral home. Let me tell you, there is some serious money in it. They have 7 Mercedes, one for each day of the week. They have a custom built house built into the side of a hill. Their tv; a 80 inch projection screen, it feels like you are in a theater. Love, Dawn

Good Day, everyone, and a Thank-you for those who posted some suggestions for protein drinks. I ordered some last night, and they will be here for me when we return from Seattle. Than just 2 weeks until surgery on the 11th. To answer the QOD: #1. My middle name is Marie, after both of my grandmothers. My first name ( I know that is not one of the questions, but I would like on this forum to use it instead of kt.) is Kathrine, after my mother's family women, who were Germans from Russia. She often calls me Katrina. Ok, #2 I am not much of a sports fan, but I have a great respect for ice skaters: I never could stay up on them, even in my fit days!! Also watch football with my husband, and tend to be fans of certain players rather than teams, and appreciate great performances. #3 A wife and a Mommy and a nurse. God blessed me and fulfilled all of those dreams. #4 I'm with Lynda, Lilacs!! When I was a girl in Spokane, Wa., my best girlfriend's home was filled with old-growth Lilacs in the yard, front and back. There was a small irrigation ditch running thru some of them, and we would spend hours under those bushes (big as trees, really), talking of our dreams, and pretending, than later talking about clothes and boys!! AHHH, the good old days!! If I don't post for a week, you know I am in Seattle for Christmas, but will keep you all in my prayers, and wish for you a most blessed holyday!! KtB, Kathrine.
