Still no surgery date

Well, I had my follow up with Dr. Cantor today. We went over the results of my EGD. It seems I have the beginnings of tiny ulcers in my stomach right at the planned surgical site. They put me on prilosec for 3 months. Then I will have to have another EGD to see if the meds worked. IF all is ok, then he will schedule my surgery. It looks like that won't be until early March!! Although I am disappointed, I appreciate Dr. Cantor's caution. I would rather undergo WLS in the best of health because that means there will be virtually no complications and no secondary surgery. SO I continue to wait. Cara B.

Thanks, Linda. I will try my best to keep you all updated. I would love to post more often but I've been swamped with work, the Christmas holidays and trying to buy a new home. In the meantime, I'll just keep on juggling Cara B.

Cara, That really is a blessing that they found those ulcers before they operated. God's will is a funny thing. He may not come when we want Him to, but He's always right on time. Love ya, Dawn

Thank you for your prayers and encouragement. I know that God's has a better plan than I do. My hubby and I will use this time to finalize the purchase of our new home. See---God knew I needed this time--even if I didn't know it. I received everyone's Christmas card. It was such a treat. Dawn this was a great idea! I hope everyone received ours.
