Good afternoon everyone! Cindy, your news about driving yourself around and going shopping is so exciting. I praise God with you!!! 1. I honestly don't remember my embarrassing moments. Since they are embarrassing, I shake them off and forget them. 2. I would grab kids, dog, cats, and a box I have our birth certificates. 3. Introvert. 4. Almost everyday. 5. Usually beef (medium rare also), then chicken and fish. Not much for pork anymore. Have a great afternoon everyone!! I've got my Christmas cards ready, just need to stop by the post office. Shel

Well I am a little late for roll call today. I haven't been on the computer much lately. I have to share it with my daughter. She is taking some online classes. I guess I really need to get another computer. My answers to the QOD: 1. My most embarassing moment happened when I was 18 years old. My pastor from Tacoma, Washington and our missionary to Vancouver, British Columbia fixed me up with a blind date. I thought I was attending a college and career get-away at the missionary's home. However, when we arrived there BJ, the missionary, met us at our vehicle and introduced me to the young man standing next to him. WE all chatted outside for awhile and then the pastor said "Well Rob, how do you like Kathy? I brought her along just so you could get to know her and perhaps take her on a date this weekend?" Talk about embarassment. And to top it off as we started up the stairs to go into the house, I tripped up the stairs. I felt so humiliated as I lay on the steps. My face was so red. Rob was a gentleman though and offered me his arm so that I could pull myself up. Oh by the way, we did go on a date. We toured the harbor in the pastor's boat and admired all the boats decorated for Christmas. 2.This is a hard question. We had a house fire and all I grabbed were the quilts and crocheted blankets my grandmother made. I wish I had grabbed some photo albums. 3.I would say I am a little of both. Now that I am losing weight I am coming out of my shell. However, if I am in a big crowd, I tend to stay along the side and just listen to the conversations. 4. ABout once a week. I don't want to fixate on my weight. I find it discouraging when my scale weighs lighter than the doctor's office scale. 5. I am a chicken person but since my surgery I have not been able to eat meat especially chicken and red meat. These were great questions. I enjoyed reading everyone's story. Have a good evening. Hey, everyone. I finished jumping through all the hoops. I have a praise today. I found out last Thursday after my endoscopy (the last thing on my list) that there was one more thing, the appointment with the surgeon's dietician. I said "Oh, I have seen a dietician for the last six months as required by my HMO" They informed me that I still have to see their dietician prior to my surgery being booked. I called on Monday after she got the referral and they only work on Wednesdays and they were booked until 12/21/05. I was so disappointed, but tried to stay very gracious. I asked for a cancellation. They said "we don't get those, we just get no shows". I started praying. I prayed for a cancellation for 12/14/05. On 12/13/05 the dietician called and said she had a 9 am, 12/14/05 cancellation. When I showed up. She said that the strangest thing happened. That she booked my 9 am and the scheduling person, said we don't have a cancelllation at 9 and the dietician said I thought you said we did and they both could not figure it out, 10 minutes later they got the call that their 9am needed to cancel!!! They were freaked out about how weird that was. I said "OH no, that's not weird, that's God" I prayed all day yesterday. Everytime I rememebered, I actually folded my hands at my desk and prayed for that cancellation. P. S. I am praying for an early surgery. Not that someone who desprately needs this surgery, but maybe someone that has been waiting to get pregnant or something wonderful will cause them to delay. No matter what, I have had God's favor in every part of this. A beautiful christian sister today found out about my surgery and was adament that God didn't want this for me. That He could heal me. I said I know, but He hasn't and I need this. I know He can do ANYTHING! I have prayed about this and I KNOW His voice and He has given me peace about this. Her friend that must be over 350 lbs, walking with a cane and under a great deal of pain said that it I needed more faith. That healing is granted accoding to my belief. I am so glad that I have the spiritual maturity to stand my ground and say "I know His voice". I would never go outside the will of God for this. He said no 6 years ago. I obeyed. I lost 75 lbs on a liquid diet. I gained most back. I don't know why He said no 6 years ago, but Yes this time. But, I know Him, I trust Him and am trying to learn to accept His timing in things. Remind me of this if my surgery is delayed!!! Today's questions: 1. What is your most embarrasing moment? When I dropped my panties I was carrying in the foyer of the church after being water babtized. I was foolish enough to speak up when a lady picked them up off the floor and said "whose size 14 panties are these?" 2. What is the first thing that you would pick up in case of a fire? My kids and my dogs. Everyting else is a thing. Ok, my cell phone. 3. Are you an introvert or an extrovert (sp)? EXTROVERT 4. How often do you weigh yourself? When I am losing, everytime I go to the bathroom, #1 or #2. When I am not losing I am not so excited about the whole thing. 5. Are you a beef, pork, chicken or fish person? I love steak. I hope I can eat it after....

Hi J Marie, Isn't God awesome! He does work in mysterious way's. Am I understanding you right~ You prayed for God to heal you, But He didn't? Your friend said "I needed more faith. That healing is granted accoding to my belief". J Marie you said it yourself, you KNOW that God is in this, you hear His voice. God has heard you and know's your faithfulness. He has granted you a healing by letting you get approved for this surgery. It takes a lot more faith to put yourself on that table then it will ever take to try just one more diet. This is a gift from God. I pray that your friend's eye's will be opened and she will come to see that God is in this. God bless you, Annette

Hi everyone. I know it's late, but I have a very good excuse! I had physical therapy this morning, and then I got to go stay with my niece all afternoon at the hospital. She had a baby girl early yesterday morning. Praise the Lord, everyone is doing well! I stopped by church on my way home this evening and joined in the Wednesday evening dinner there. I just finished reading all the posts for the past 2 days, and you all have been VERY BUSY! I pray for all of you every day. God is so good to His people. Here are my responses to the QOD. I might note that many of us had similar responses. Today's questions: 1. What is your most embarrasing moment? My black half slip fell down when I was up near the altar. Luckily, I was there early to practice music, and no one saw...except, of course, the Lord! 2. What is the first thing that you would pick up in case of a fire? My 20 1/2 year old kitty cat, and as many of our photo albums as possible, especially my wedding album. 3. Are you an introvert or an extrovert (sp)? Extrovert! 4. How often do you weigh yourself? Every day 5. Are you a beef, pork, chicken or fish person? I love steak! Beef is my favorite, followed by chicken. Peg
