WELL, I HAVE A DATE,

Hi to all my Sisters and Brothers-in-Christ, Well I finally have a date for my Lapband surgery, Dec29th. I can't believe it's almost here; of course the devil is trying to do his little on my mind, but he's liar as usual. I have many health problems such as HBP, type2 Diabetes, Asthma, arthritic knees and spine, and during an Eccocardiogram Cardiac Cath, that my PCP ordered in Aug., they found a40% blockage only one artery and something called Mitral regurg and Tricuspld regurg and still cleared to have surgery.......wondering if someone else was in such shape before their surgery? Oh well I'm asking your prayers for auncomplicated surgery and outcome and even a cure of some , if not all these health issues. Love you all, Nettibea

Hi Nettibea, I don't know if you are new around here but if you are, WELCOME! I had HBP, diabetes, sleep apnea, arthritic knees too but I didn't have any heart problems. I will be praying for you and your surgery and definately a cure to your health problems. I know this surgery has been a miracle for me - I am off my HBP, and diabetes meds! Hi Nettiebea, Congratulation's on your date. W.L.S. is a wonderful gift from our Father. Don't let the enemy take away your joy from this gift. Yes the devil may put thought's of doom and gloom into our heads, and will try to terrify us (perhaps maybe because he's terrified of what await's him?). Just take it to the Lord. CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR CHRISTMAS PRESENT DATE FOR YOUR HEALTHIER NEW LIFE, MS NETTI BEA! YES, I WAS JUST ABOUT AS BAD HEALTH-WISE AS YOU ARE NOW WHEN I HAD MY SURGERY ... I DO HAVE A HEART CONDITION THAT CANNOT BE CURED BY LOSING WEIGHT BECAUSE IT IS AN ELECTRICAL IMPULSE ISSUE, BUT JUST TAKING THE STRAIN OF OBESITY OFF MY HEART WILL HELP WITH THE STRESS IT'S UNDER. I'M ALSO ON A CPAP FOR SLEEP APNEA. NOW, THE GOOD NEWS ... ALL MY CONDITIONS EXCEPT THE HEART CONDITION SHOULD (DR's WORDS) ... WILL (MINE & THE LORD'S WORDS) COMPLETELY DEMINISH AS I LOSE WEIGHT, EXERCISE & GAIN STRENGTH & HEALTH. AFTER ONLY 3 WEEKS I WAS COMPLETELY TAKEN OFF ALL THE MEDS FOR HIGH CHOLESTEROL, WATER RETENTION, 2 HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE MEDS & A MED TO CONTROL MY APPETITE. 12 DOSES OF MEDS A DAY ... THAT'S HOW MANY I NO LONGER HAD TO TAKE IN ONLY 3 WEEKS. BUT, THE ABSOLUTE BEST IMPROVEMENT IN SUCH A SHORT, SHORT TIME WAS THAT I HAVE COMPLETELY GONE OFF ALLLLLLLLLLLL MY PAIN MEDS & CAN NOW SIT, STAND & WALK WITH NOOOOOOOOO PAIN WHEN JUST WEEKS BEFORE, I WAS IN SUCH PAIN 24 HOURS A DAY THAT MANY A DAY, I JUST SAT & CRIED. I HAD TO OVERUSED EVERY PAIN MED I'VE EVER HAD AS NOTHING WOULD CUT THE PAIN IN MY JOINTS, LOWER BACK & HIPS. NICK HAD TO HELP ME UP ... HELP IN IN OUR LITTLE SPORTS CAR ... HELP ME OUT OF OUR LITTLE SPORTS CAR ... HELP ME OUT OF BED ... I HAD TO STOP & SIT DOWN 3 - 4 TIMES JUST GOING FOR A WEEKLY GROCERY SHOPPING TRIP TO WAL*MART & THEN NICK WOULD HAVE TO GET THE CAR & BRING IT TO THE DOOR BECAUSE I'D BE IN SUCH PAIN BY THEN THAT I WOULD BE BITING MY LIP HOLDING BACK THE TEARS. I WAS READY TO ASK FOR A HANDICAPPED TAG & THEN WITHIN JUST WEEKS OF WLSurgery, THE ONLY THING I CANNOT DO YET IS WALK MORE THAN MODERATE DISTANCES LIKE GOING SHOPPING & SUCH. BUT, THAT WILL COME AS WELL ... ONCE MY HEART MEDS ARE REGULATED (THAT'S TAKEN 5 TIMES BECAUSE OF THE MALABSORBTION ISSUES WLS PATIENTS HAVE ... BUT, TOMORROW MORNING, I THINK DOC WILL FINALLY HAVE THE DOSAGE RIGHT. ONCE MY HEART RATE IS STEADY & REGULATED WITH A COMBINATION OF 2 MEDS, I WILL BE ABLE TO ACTUALLY EXERCISE ON MY RECLINE BIKE FOR THE 1st TIME IN YEARS. THE ONLY PRESCRIBED MEDS I NOW TAKE ARE THE 2 HEART MEDS & PRILOSEC WHEN NEEDED FOR ACID REFLUX ... THAT'S IT! PERIOD!!!!!! SO, NOT TO WORRY MS NETTI ... WITH GOD, A GREAT ATTITUDE, A GOOD SURGEON & THIS WONDEROUS PROCEDURE, YOU WILL BE A COMPLETELY NEW, HEALTHY PERSON READY TO LIVE LIFE BEYOND ITS FULLEST!!!
