2. Name one childhood memory that makes you smile.
3. On a scale from 1-10 with 1 being "not at all" and 10 being "completely done": Are you done Christmas shopping?
~*~*~my answers~*~*~*
1. Spring
2. playing soccor with my mom. She was brutal!! She got so into it she would push me down!! We would just laugh and laugh. What can I expect though, she was one of 7 kids in her house.
3. I would say a "3"
God bless,
Dawn
Hey girl! I just got off work myself. Here are my answers.
1. Winter and Summer. I am very extreme. It either has to be hot enough to go swimming or cold enough to wear a coat.
2. I know I have one but I just can't think of one right now. My mind will only go back so far without prompting. Plus...its constantly throwing out new files to make room for new ones.
3. 8. I love to shop! I have to force myself not to start too early or I'll end up buying more than I planned on.
Have a great day!
Love, Jacinda
1 ... WINTER (TIME OF PEACEFUL REFLECTION LEADING TO A TIME OF CHANGE) ... SPRING & FALL (TIMES OF CHANGE).
2 ... WHEN I WAS ABOUT 4th OR 5th GRADE, WE LIVED IN WISCONSIN IN A VERY TINY, RURAL TOWN. WINTER BEING MY FAVORITE SEASON EVEN THEN, I WOULD STAY AWAKE ON THE NIGHTS IT SNOWED & PEEK OUT THE WINDOW AT THE WONDEROUS VIEW WITH MY NOSE PRESSED UP TIGHT AGAINST THE COLD, COLD GLASS. THERE WAS ONE PARTICULAR NIGHT WHEN I THINK I SAW THE ABSOLUTE PERFECTION OF GOD'S WORLD. IT HAD JUST FINISHED SNOWING SEVERAL FEET. THE MOON WAS FULL & WHITE, & SO BRIGHT IT SEEMED LIKE DAY LIGHT. THE SNOW WAS ABSOLUTE PERFECTION & IT SPARKLED IN THE MOONLIGHT LIKE MILLIONS OF DIAMONDS. THE OLD, LEANING BARN THAT WAS NORMALLY DRAB & DECAYING, WAS COVERED IN A BLANKET OF BEAUTY. THE MEADOW WHERE MY GIRLFRIEND & I RODE HER HORSE OVER ROCKS & MUD & WEEDS NOW LAYED BEFORE ME IN A SEA OF PURE WHITENESS. THE AIR WAS SO CRISP, I COULD HEAR IT "CRACKLE" AS IF BECKONING ME OUT INTO ITS PEACEFULNESS.
NOTHING WAS LESS THAN PERFECT THAT NIGHT; I CAN SEE IT IN MY MIND TO THIS DAY SOME 4 DECADES LATER.
3 ... ABOUT A 6 OR 7.
Oh, Lady D,
You are a woman after mine own heart! Your childhood memory is lovely! I love it when there is a fresh coat of snow over everything. We went on a Christmas train ride through the mountains this past weekend. There was fresh snow everywhere - the pine trees, frozen lakes, and even frozen waterfalls were so beautiful. My husband at one point said that even the weeds were beautiful with frost on them! Peacefulness - exactly! Love ya! And by the way welcome if you are new to this board.
God Bless,
Lynda

THANK YOU, MS LYNDA, FOR THE WELCOME ...
YES MA'AM, I'M RIGHT THERE WITH YOU RIDING THAT TRAIN THROUGH THE MOUNTAINS.
EVERYWHERE I HAVE LIVEDIN THE WEST OR ON THE WEST COAST IN THE LAST 30 YEARS OR SO WAS NEAR ENOUGH TO THE MOUNTAINS TO RUN AWAY ON WEEKENDS FOR A WONDERFUL TIME OF REFRESHMENT ... BUT, I NOW LIVE IN THE CHARLESTON, SC AREA & THERE AREN'T MANY MOUNTAINS HERE ... I JUMP FOR JOY JUST BECAUSE MY BACK YARD IS LANDSCAPED WITH A SLOPE DOWN TO A POND ... SO, AT LEAST IT ISN'T FLAT!!!!!! SO, I'M A BIT "MOUNTAIN CRAZY" RIGHT NOW!
WE'RE HERE BECAUSE MY PARENTS LIVE HERE & SINCE MOMMA HAS HAD 4 SETS OF STROKES (1 MAJOR & TOO MANY MINI STROKES TO COUNT), I LEFT WORK TO HELP HER & DADDY WHICH IS A WONDEROUS JOY AS I'M FINALLY ABLE TO GIVE BACK A LITTLE TO THEM ... THEY'RE THE BEST PARENTS & GOD HAS BEEN VERY MERCIFUL THAT ALTHOUGH MOMMA HAS IMPAIRMENTS, SHE'S STILL ABLE TO COMMUNICATE QUITE WELL & WALK SLOWLY WITH A CANE. NICK HAS BEEN A DOLL & TAKEN ON EVERY BIT OF OVERTIME HE CAN TO MAKE UP FOR ME NOT WORKING ... IT'S BEEN A "FAMILY EFFORT" ... & I'M SO BLESSED TO HAVE THIS OPPORTUNITY.
I THINK THE REASON GOD GAVE ME SUCH A VIVID REMEMBERANCE OF MANY OF MY TIMES IN THE MOUNTAINS IS SO I CAN RELIVE THEM NOW WHEN I'M UNABLE TO PHYSICALLY GO THERE. I JUST GO FOR A WALK IN THE WOODS, "SHUSHING" THROUGH MOUNDS OF FLUFFY, NEW SNOW IN MY DAYDREAMS. OR, I LACE UP MY SKATES & GLIDE AROUND A FROZEN POND, THE BREATH STREAMING OUT OF ME IN WHITE WHISPS ... ONLY TO WAKE A BIT & SNUGGLE FURTHER DOWN UNDER THE ELECTRIC BLANKET.
SEE YOU ON THE SLOPES ... GOD BLESS YOU DAWN & NICK

1. You nailed it, WINTER! Skiing next week - I can hardly wait!
2. Fishing with my grandpa - we had a blast! And then grandma cooking our catch - best tasting fish (Idaho rainbow trout)!
3. 9 - but if I get things done early I tend to just add to the list and that's exactly what I am doing!
I love you all and I am praying that God is blessing you!
God Bless,
Lynda
