WAHOOOOOO! I love to start Roll Call. Today, the QOD is How are you? Please take a few moments to tell us how you are doing? Do you have any prayer requests? That way we can lift you up! I am GREAT! I can't believe I have surgery Monday and that I feel this calm about the whole thing. I know that the Holy Spirit is the reason. I am SURE of it. So, thank you all for your prayers, emails and support. You would be blessed if you knew how much they meant to me. You are awesome and truly brothers and sisters in Christ. My children are beautiful and wonderful. They have grown so much in the time their daddy has been gone. It's hard to believe that in just 3 weeks Ken will be HOME!!! He will be suprised at how much they have changed. I am all ready for Christmas. I have the shopping done and the house cleaned and I am just very ready. I am so excited to celebrate Jesus' birth with a new body. Please pray for: *My children when I am in the hospital *My husband when I am having surgery *The surgeon, anesthesiologist, and team assisting that performs my surgery. *Me as I near the time, that this peace and assurance will continue God bless you all~ Becky

Hi Becky and everybody. That's a good QOD, Becky. First of all, though, I want you to know that I am joining so many others in praying for you that you have a safe and successful surgery on Monday. You are so dear to us, Becky, and I know the Lord will see you though this. Every time I see your picture and see that you live somewhere near Sioux Fall, SD, I feel a connection because my mom grew up there in Canton. Okay. Here's my answer to the QOD. I am doing better and better every day. I'm almost 4 months out from my second surgery...August 12th. I am healing well from it. I also see progress being made on my shoulders and ribs with the help of my physical therapists. I am going twice a week and am so hopeful that I will soon be out of the hospital bed and back in a regular bed. That is my prayer request...that I get well enough to be relieved of this pain in my shoulders and arms so that I can sleep next to my wonderful DH of 38 years. Once I can manage a regular bed, then we can go visit his folks and think about traveling. We're both retired and we want to go go go! The other prayer request is that I push through this mental block about going below 200 lbs. I know I asked you to pray about this before, and I still need your prayers. Thanks so much, and God bless each and every one of you and your families. Peg

Hello, checking in on a Saturday. Becky, I will also be remembering you in prayer. We will be waiting to hear from you or whoever can give an update. Peg, I also pray that the Lord will continue the healing in your life. Sounds like you have been through a lot. As for me, I am doing well. I do thank the Lord for all his blessings, the main one being the health he has blessed my family members with. I would like for you all to remember my youngest grandson. He is 21 months old and will be seeing a pediatric neurologist this coming Thursday. He is very healthy in appearance and development (course I think he is gorgeous too!) but he has had several episodes of a sort of jerking of his head and right arm. If he is standing up it makes him lose his balance and fall. Appreciate your prayers. Hope everyone has a great weekend! Blessings Gina

Hi Becky! I am so excited for you! God is with you, girl. He has your back! And...all of us are praying for you. Let us know how you are as soon as you can, k? As for me....I have had the flu this week. (That is why I have been MIA on the board.) I was supposed to sing at our ladies brunch today, but I don't have much of a voice left. Please pray that I get over this quickly. I have family coming on Friday to spend the weekend...to do 'our Christmas" together. Have a lot to do...so please pray that God will clear my mind of all of the jumbled mess, and help me get things done in an orderly fashion. Other than that, I have lost about 65 pounds now. I am just really, really tired....but I am ok I guess. Hope everyone has a great day! Stephanie

Howdy Becky, Peg, Ginakay and Stef...and everyone! You are all in my prayers. Becky, I cannot believe that it is already time for your surgery. Time has really flown by. I will pray for all of your requests. Peg, I'm glad your shoulder is getting better. I hope it will not be too much longer before you can go go go. You are such a trooper! Ginakay, I am praying for that grandson. I hope its nothing serious. Stef, are you taking your vitamins and eating enough? Its easy to forget that stuff. I will pray that you have more energy soon. As for me, physically I am doing great. I am feeling well and eating fine. I got the treadmill up and running and I have been trying to use it as often as I can. I feel like I get stronger everyday. I have lost almost 45 lbs now. I feel like I have so much more room if that makes any sense. I do need prayers for my marriage though. My husband suffers from depression and lately it feels like he has just dropped out of our family. He stays up very late and sleep in very late and rarely interacts with any of us anymore. He is on medication and has been seeing a therapist for more than a year now. In some ways he seems much better. But he has just dropped out of the family. Thanks for the prayers guys! Love, Jacinda

Hi Becky, Peg, Ginakay, Stephanie, Jacinda, Glen, and Everyone who might be posting after me! Becky, you have been in my prayers and I think about you each day and what you are going through these last days before surgery - what an exciting time. I will be lifting you, your children, your husband, and your medical team up in prayer. It is so wonderful how God has given you a peace and calm about all of this and I will definately pray that continues! Peg, I will be praying for your shoulder pain that it subsides so you can travel to your heart's desire! You can break that mental block, after all, look at what you have been through already and what you have accomplished! Ginakay, I will be praying for your precious grandson that the neurologist can get to the bottom of what is going on and most importantly that he will be healed. Stephanie, I will be praying that you can squash this flu bug and be healthy and ready for your company coming next weekend! Jacinda, I will be praying for your husband and your relationship. You are so precious and I pray that God gives you the stamina to deal with all of this. QOD: My family and I went on a Christmas train ride through the mountains this morning! It was outstanding and so beautiful. My husband made the comment that even the weeds on the side of the tracks looked beautiful frost covered. Snow, pine trees, frozen lakes, frozen waterfalls, beautiful music, the swaying of the train, and of course family - it just doesn't get much better! God is so good! I want to again thank everyone for their prayers for my dad! What a miracle - his cancer according to Thursday's cat scan is almost gone - and like I said, this is the best Christmas gift that God could have given me this year! I am preparing my heart this evening for what the Lord has in store for me tomorrow at church and the rest of the week! I love all of you! God Bless, Lynda Phil. 4:8
