***THURSDAY'S ROLL CALL***
My church has only 40 +/- members. I wouldn't have it any other way. It allows you to develop a true love for each person. I see my church family as just that...a family. I love them beyond words. When one of them hurts, we all hurt. I think every church should be that way.
Now, once my husband becomes a senior pastor I might take back what I said about only wanting a small church. I couldn't imagine the headaches that come with the financial obligations and limited tithing members.
Love,
Dawn
I know what you mean, Dawn. I don't know how our pastor and his family would make it if his wife didn't have a good-paying job. We do pay him a salary and help on their house payments. We really struggle financially, but the Lord sees us through. We keep praying that we can grow our church by reaching out to the unchurched in our community. All in God's timing. We just need to be faithful and put in the effort to do His will.
Love,
Peg
Good afternoon brothers and sisters in Christ. This is my introduction to this forum so I'll just jump in.
QOD:
1.I am in early retirement. My husband had a medical retirement from his work and we moved far away from what I then called home. I do see the Lord in all of this so I stay tuned for the next installment.Fortunately, the retirement plan of God is after graduation!
2.I've talked to a few people who've done this and then I came to this site and accelerated the process.
3.Prior to moving I sang and played drums for two churches as well as anything I could participate in. Let me say that the word church is worldwide and we all have ministry wherever our feet take us. The church I attend now is putting on a Christmas production,"Birthday of a King," so I've been asked to operate the video equipment. I sure will need prayer to do this.A few months ago the worship leader asked me to sing with them and I've been blessed, again.
Be blessed,sue
Howdy Gang!
Here are my answers:
1. Police officer...soon to be sergeant!
2. Hmm... I can't say that there was just one. I also could not keep up with the kids the way I wanted to. I was also having a hard time at work. I had a very hard time bending down to pick things up. My knees were hurting all the time. My uniform was horribly uncomfortable. And not matter how hard I dieted, it just always came back with more to boot.
3. I serve the Lord's supper every week. Can you believe that?!?! My church just started letting women do it this year. We must either be very contemporary or very desparate for help.
You guys have a great day!
Love, Jacinda
Hi everyone
I am a stay at home mom of 3 my oldest is 5 her name is Sofia, she is in kindergarten this year. My next is 4 her name is Natalia and she is a gymnast of sorts she is in gymnastics this year and loves it. And then I have my little man his name is Federico Manuel and we call him Manny. His is 18 months old and is just a joy to have as the perfect completion of our family.
I decided to do this for not just me but for my kids, I want to be able to do so much with them and at this time I am very limited with all the pain I am always in. I actually started looking into it back in 92 and decided at that time it wasnt safe enough for me.
I am only involved in our RCIA program at the moment, I am a new member in our church since we just moved here recently.
Have a blessed day in the Lord!!
Steph

Hi! Just wanted to check in. I am a day late, but I am here.
Here are my answers to the questions of the day...
1) I am a nurse and also work for a retail store.(crazy huh?)
2) I decided to have WLS because I have battled with my Wt. all my life. I have never put myself first, and this is for me first.
3) I do go to church. I wanted to be involved with the children's ministry, however, my schedule didn't allow it. Maybe it will work out soon. I do read the bible daily. It's important to do so, so you can get spiritually fed.
well yall have a blessed day!
