Wednesday's Roll Call
Hi Kathy & Everyone! It is sunny but COLD here in Northeast Indiana. I hope everyone has a great day!
1. "Mary Did You Know" by Mark Lowry
2. We will be at my parent's on Christmas Eve at 12:00 noon, then all day. On Christmas Day we go to DH parent's home at 12:30, but stay all day. They live just 16 miles away. My parent's are just 2/10 of a mile south of us.
3. Probably when I was young, it would be when I got my drum set or 10 speed bike. As an adult, it would be all the Christmas' when our son & daughter were little.....watching their excitment in opening up the gifts, etc.
God bless you all! Love you! Cindy
Hi everybody!!!
My favorite Christmas songs are Away in a Manger, and Oh Holy Night.
I will be going to Oklahoma for Christmas with my folks again!! I just love them!
My favorite Christmas memory is a really hard one, I have several, I guess it has to be the year that I was broke except enough to buy something between me and my hubby (boyfriend at the time) He decided that he was going to ghelp me to buy gifts for my family and wouldnt let me repay him. It was supposed to be a "family only" holiday per my dad, and he decided that my boyfriend would be invited secretly, and my parents at this time had never met him. My boyfriend spoke very limited english and did his best to communicate with my family. Well to make a long story short, my dad stuck his hands up to the sides of his head like big ears and said "hey Fico, Yo quiero Taco Bell" my husband almost fell off his chair he was laughing so hard!! My dad and hubby have been like pals ever since then!!
Take care all.
In His Name,
Steph
Hi everyone. Thanks for your posts!
1. What is your favorite Christian christmas song?
O Come All Ye Faithful
O Come All Ye Faithful
Joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem.
Come and behold Him,
Born the King of Angels;
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.
O Sing, choirs of angels,
Sing in exultation,
Sing all that hear in heaven God's holy word.
Give to our Father glory in the Highest;
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.
All Hail! Lord, we greet Thee,
Born this happy morning,
O Jesus! for evermore be Thy name adored.
Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing;
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.
God bless you guys, you are sure blessing me!
Hi everyone!!
Sorry I am a day late checking in. I hope everyone's doing fine.
Here are the my answers to the Question of the day.....
1) I LOVE O' Holy night also. I lose it everytime when I hear the part of the song "Fall on your knees, oh hear the angels voices".
2) I will be spending it home with my husband and son.
3) My favorite Christmas memory is when my husband and son gave me a 14 kt rope chain. I had always wanted one. I was wanting a cross to go on it, but my mother in law said she had the most perfect charm for my necklace. She gave me a heart that is diamond cut. She had it since the 70's. About 1 1/2 -2 yrs later she passed away from breast cancer. So, I wear it almost everyday.
I have another great memory too. The Christmas before she passed away Dec. 1999, she gave me, my husband and son a box. When I opened the box, there was a beautiful Christmas throw, each one of us received personalized stockings (mine has a beautiful angel on it) and also a Kenny G CD "Faith". When, I saw the Cd, I started crying because I was going to name my baby that if it would have been a girl. But, I miscarried in May 1999. But, she got us that cd just to comfort us. She also said that she might not be around next Christmas, and each year she wants us to hang the stockings up so, she would be with us. She was right. She passed away Nov. 16, 2000. I miss her tremendously. We were very close.
Well, Just wanted to share a few memories. I hope you enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed sharing them with yall.
Yall have a blessed day!
Tamara
Hello Kathy,
I'm a couple of days late but I wanted to post my answers anyway to your QOD:
1. What is your favorite Christian christmas song?
O HOLY NIGHT
2. Will you be spending Christmas at home or visiting someone?
WE WILL BE HAVING CHRISTMAS DINNER AT MY OLDER BROTHER'S HOUSE. MOST OF OUR FAMILY WILL BE THERE.
3. What is your favorite Christmas memory?
WHEN MY CHILDREN WERE SMALL AND SEEING THE LOOKS OF JOY ON THEIR FACES AS THEY OPENED THEIR GIFTS ON CHRISTMAS MORNING. IT ALWAYS MADE MY HEART FILL UP WITH SO MUCH LOVE FOR THEM.
