Fun at the doctor!

Hi! I went to my orthopedic doctor today and it was one of those fun moments. He was the one back in August who told me that I needed to get the weight off or I would be looking at total knee replacement for both knees. He was amazed that I had lost 60 pounds! He went on and on about it - he was so pleased. I thanked him for being the impetus for me looking into WLS and that it has been a miracle for me! He will be putting a substance into my knees for the next ten weeks via a huge needle (didn't hurt today) to naturally rebuild my cartilage. He said I can start skiing now! He said that if I lost all my weight, he is almost 100% sure I won't need surgery! I was so happy after I left his office that I skipped through the parking lot praising God for this victory and answer to prayer! Crazy woman! Love ya all! God Bless, Lynda Phil. 4:8

Lynda, That is great! I work for orthopedic docs and I have seen the pain in people who are overweight & since I had my surgery my docs have seemed very interested in WLS and God has given me the opportunity to share my experiences with some patients. I always try to let them know that this is a personal choice, I don't want to seem like I am trying to convince them to have WLS. But thank God I have had the opportunity to share how God has changed my life through my surgery. The shots in your knee seem similar to something my docs do, and have been a big help to alot of patients suffering with knee pain. May God bless you! Georgina
