Hi All~ Let's start today by reading Psalms 150 Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament! Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord! I don't see an amendment stating that if you're having a bad day or if you're sick that you don't have to praise Him. We are to praise Him in spite of cir****tances; if for nothing else, just because of who He is and what He did for us!! QOD 1. How much did you weight when you were born? 2. If you got a $500 gift card to the store of your choice, what store would it be? 3. They probably do!!! I saw on TV a few years ago how stores mess with your mind to get you to buy things. They actually put the smell of coffee through the vents of the isle before the coffee so you start to crave it right before you get to it. (Did you ever notice you never smell the coffee when you are right in front of it?) They also vent the bakery the same way. I want to say it was on 20/20 and they tested the theory and pumped the smell of peppermint through the vents one isle before the candy isle and the sales of "starlite mints" tripled!! Dawn

Dawn, thanks for that reminder from Psalms. I think we forget sometimes when we are stressed or having a bad day that just taking the time to Praise God makes us feel better. It does me anyway. I am feeling stress from the holidays. I keep reminding myself that the true gift of Christmas is Christ himself and not to get bogged down in the gift buying and all that. Anyway, as for the QOD: 1. I weighed 10 pounds 5 ounces at birth and my oldest daughter, Katherine, also weighed 10 pounds 5 oucnes at birth. My mom said that when Kat was wheeled out of the delivery room it was like looking at her baby all over again. 2. Okay, it would probably be Wal-Mart for me too. Either that or Best Buy because I'm really wanting to get a laptop for work when I go to Arkansas to visit family. 3. TV or computer either one. But, since work is done on the computer, it would be hard to stay away from it. Although, I could probably fast from coming to this board. TV is something that I try to relax with at night. I prefer to watch TV in my bedroom and it helps put me to sleep. So, that would probably be a good one. Instead of watching TV I should be spending that time in prayer and growing. Good morning! great scripture to start the day, and whatever is going on I agree that the Lord is worthy of praise just because of WHO HE IS!!! THE QOD are fun here is my response: 1. I'm not sure of my birth weight. I think is was a bit over 8 pounds. 2. If I was offered a $500 gift card I'd join the rest of you at WALMART! 3. Okay this has happened, I have felt like I should cut out reading fiction for a time ( I am such a book worm.)

Goodmorning Dawn and Everyone! Yes, indeed Praise the Lord! David was a man after God's own heart and yet he seriously sinned - he understood God's forgiveness and praised God with all of his heart and breath! Dawn, I emailed you my info again for the Christmas card exchange - did you get it? Answers: 1. 6 lbs. 9 oz. - probably the only time in my whole life I was average weight! Something happened shortly after that because in all my baby pictures I am really chubby! 2. I would have to say WalMart too! We live in a rural town and yet just down the street we have a Super WalMart. 3. I would say the TV too but that one is too easy - afterall I haven'****ched it now for a few days, I would say the computer but I homeschool and it is vital because I get my daughter's lessons etc. online. I hope I don't offend anyone but I think the biggy would be sex. I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season - it is such a wonderful time of year to remember those we sometimes take for granted - like our newpaper boy or mailmail, etc. I have great neighbors and we are planning on making cornbread and honeybears to take to them - fun! Lynda, No, I still didn't get the email. What is up with that??? Let me tell you a funny little story (sorry if TMI ) My DH and I were going to marriage counseling (a requirement for him to be a minister) Anyhow, we were taught of how the "marriage bed" glorifies God and that we are to invite Him in with us. A few nights later my husband and I were being "intimate" and I just started laughing hysterically. He was wearing a t-shirt that said "to know what true love is you have to read between the lines", beneath it was a picture of Christ on the cross with stripes across Him. I said during my laughter, "I know that we were supposed to invite Him in with us, but seeing Him coming at my face over and over is a little ridiculous!" Love, Dawn

Good Afternoon Everyone, I'm cold today and can't seem to get warm. I wouldn't normally put this up, because I feel ashamed and embarrassed by it. I am not able to work right now (hopefully that will change sometime in the near future). Because of this I get benefits from the state. I get a small cash alottment and food benifits. I went to go grocery shopping ,but found out that my benefits weren't put on my card this month. They transfered my case to a different office and I can't get a hold of anyone to help me. It wouldn't be any problem, except I didn't get any food's that I can eat, except Sf/ff pudding, then I don't have any milk to make it with. If you would ask the Lord to let me get a hold of someone to clear this up, I would be greatful. Thank you. Q.O.T.D. #1. I believe mom said 6#'s 4 oz's. #2.
