***SUNDAY'S ROLL CALL***
Hi everyone. There are so many of us that the word "everyone" feels like the right one to use. It's almost 8:30 in the evening here on the west coast, but it's still Sunday, so I'm posting! God is so good! All the time! We had Homecoming Sunday at our church today, and our little church was packed to the rafters! I wish we had that many attending each Sunday. We are working to reach out to our community.
Jacinda, I'm with you about the pumpkin bread. I have a good "before" recipe, and I thought I'd try replacing the sugar with Splenda. Since it's just going be my DH and me alone for the first time this Thanksgiving, I probably won't make it. Do let me know if you come up with a good recipe. Our whole family loves pumpkin bread! Maybe I'll make it for Christmas.
I hope you all have a wonderful week. God bless and keep you in His tender care.
PS. If there are any more lurkers around this board, please join in! We'd love to hear from you!

Hi Everyone!
What a wonderful Sunday. Our pastor reminded us this morning of the power of a simple prayer and it is so encouraging to come to this message board and read how God is answering prayer in your lives. It is good to know that I have sisters in the Lord that I can bring my prayer requests to. I pray that you all have a joy filled week - I know everyone is going to be busy preparing for Thanksgiving. I plan on preparing a wonderful meal for my family but this year for the first time my focus will be on my relationships not the food. And I will certainly be thanking God for the gift of this surgery. This time of year has its challenges and I will pray that each one of us, though busy or maybe a little down, will keep our focus on our Lord and Savior. Love ya all!
God Bless,
Lynda

Hello Sandy! Welcome to this board!!!! We're glad you've joined us!!! I just read your profile, but there was only one sentence, so I didn't get to learn much about your WLS journey. I am so sorry that loneliness is trying to overtake you. I will pray against this in your life. Your profile said that you are five weeks post-op....you & I must have had our surgeries around the same time, or was that an old post on your profile? I had my surgery 10-17-05....five weeks ago tomorrow. I hope that you will be encouraged by the Spirit of God and your sisters in the Lord, here on this board! God bless you! Cindy
Hello Cindy and all the OH friends. I had a great day at church, my nephew went with me. I am praying for his salvation...and the rest of my brothers and sisters and their children. Cindy how are doing?? I am going to check out your profile. I have to remember to update mine...I spent so much more time online before surgery than now. I feel great. I have lost about 45 pounds and the freedom of not having that stuffed, sugar-loaded feeling is fantastic. Every morning I wake up feeling great and grateful to God for this weight loss.
Cynthia...I have missed you!!!!! It is sooooo good to hear from you and to "see" you!!!!!! Congratulations on your weight loss! That's great!!!! I have been at a stall for over a week! Everybody says that it's normal, but this is awful!!!! They say that our bodies have to adjust to its new system. Please Lord, help mine to get with the program quick! Other than that, I am feeling wonderful!!! I have energy like I haven't had in years and I'm able to walk & stand and not use my walker any more!!!! PTL!!! Now, Cynthia, I know you are enjoying your new life, but please don't abandon us!!! Please keep checking in on us, Okay???? Love you! Cindy
I am here Late, buthere nonetheless!!!! I am still feeling really good today, I think I may have kicked the stomach flu in the butt!! It is so nice to see all of your smiling faces. Today was a great day in Christ for me!! I learned a lot at church today and feel blessed for doing so. I think my realtionship with Him is growing by leaps and bounds. I am really feeling good and just wanted to share it with all of you beautiful people!!!
Have a blessed day.
In His Love,
Steph
Hi Everyone,
God bless you all. This is Brenda from Massachusetts. Some of you may have seen my name before and many of you were so kind in responding to my post about two weeks ago. I too am relatively new to this forum. By the Grace of God, I'm so grateful that I found you all. It's wonderful to know that besides God and my husband, I won't be going through this journey alone. It's wonderful to speak with like minded people that share a same goal, to improve our health and bodies!
Thank You,
Brenda
