Cindy, You forgot me but I'm new to this board so I will let you slide...this time, LOL. I'm excited about Thanksgiving...God willing this will be my last one with a regular stomach and big hips!!! I plan on having a FEAST!!!! I can't wait for Christmas either. As a christian it is soo much more than what socity has made it. It is nice to have a day to sit back and think about how awesome God is to have wrapped himself in human flesh for us. How He CHOOSE to be born in a manger so that in every way we can relate to him. We don't have to feel intimidated to bow before His feet because He came in this world just as poor as many of us. His love is so amazing. Praise Him!! Dawn in NJ

Dawn, Dawn, Dawn.....I am sooooo sorry I forgot you!!! I won't ever again!!!!! God bless you, Sweety!!!! You are so right, Dawn! I remember the Christmas many, many years ago, when it hit my daughter that "Jesus was born to die". It was a real revelation to her! It is so true! Thank You, Lord Jesus, for putting on this horrible flesh to purchase us! Have a blessed day, Dawn! Love, Cindy

Hi Cindy and Everyone! This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it! Thanks Cindy for starting the roll call today! I'm still new around here and not quite sure what protocol is! Annette is in my prayers and I too would like to know how she is doing. Wow, Thanksgiving is less than a week away! And though there have been several trials for me this year I have a lot to be thankful for. And one thing I am thankful for is my sisters in Christ on this forum! I will be praying that you all have a blessed holiday season. I know everyone will be busy and I pray that you take time for yourself in the Lord. I am talking to myself too because I can get so involved with things at church and here at home that I forget that quiet place that truly gives me the strength I need. Love ya all! God Bless, Lynda Phil. 4:8

Boy, Lynda, can I relate to that!!! There is nothing that can take the place of our quiet time with the Lord! The enemy (& the flesh) will do all they can to foul it up too!!! You're right; that is when He strengthens & encourages us! Anytime you want to start the roll call, Lynda, you go right ahead. There is no protocol...Just type the day's roll call post and post whatever you want. On some boards they may ask a question of the day...or start a topic...just to get to know each other better.....but it's whatever you want to do. Sometimes there just isn't time, so a person just says hi for the day and encourages everyone to post. The main reason for a roll call is to encourage people to at least check in everyday for encouragement for themselves and to encourage others even if they don't have a separate post to post, the roll call gives them the opportunity to post. Was that confusing???? Sorry!!! Thanks & I look forward to seeing you start the roll call! Love, Cindy

Thank you Cindy! It wasn't confusing at all! I read your profile page and I am impressed with your love of the Lord and the youth work you do. Working with youth isn't easy - my husband and I have done it for years too and thankful for the many blessings we have received from it. It sounds as though you are doing very well with your WL. I will pray that you will have continued successes. Love ya! God Bless, Lynda Phil. 4:8

I'm here!!! Sorry it took soo long to post, I was sick all of yesterday with the dreaded stomach flu. So I am finally out of the bathroom and in front of the computer...lol. Not to mention running after my little ones I still haven't gotten any word yet from ins. they say there is no change in status, so I guess that is better than a denial at this point, I figure if I don't hear from them by Thanksgiving then I will call the following Monday and check in again. I fell like I am pestering them, but hey someones gotta do it Well my prayers go out to everyone of you today and I hope you all have a blessed one. Talk to you all soon. In His love, Steph

Thanks Cindy, I feel wonderful compared to the last week, I almost began to wonder if I had done something that I was being punished for, but I couldn't think of anything bad that I have done, and then I thought maybe it was something I had eaten, I had shrimp the night before, but then I figured since I was the only one in the house that was sick and got a fever that it was something going around. Sure enough I called my doc and she said " Oh honey you have what we are all getting, the stomach flu" so I figured I wasn't being punished after all. So today I prayed and thanked God for sparing me from his wrath and only testing my will. I hope that no one gets this nasty bug, it was no fun at all. I hope I am past the sickness for this season, I could hardly take what I was dealt...lol Well I have rambled on long enough, I appreciate the kind words and hope you have a splendid evening. In His Love, Steph
