Hi Everyone! I am back to exercising regularly. My daughter talked me into going to water aerobics with her last night. I had a blast and I'm not sore today! They really work ya! Fun! I am praying that I can be back on the ski slopes by January. This surgery has been a Godsend! I've skiied for over 40 years and I just didn't want to give it up. But when my orthopedic surgeon told me this summer that I was looking at knee replacement surgery and that I needed to get the weight off quickly or no more skiing I just cried. I have already had 3 knee surgeries and they were awful - much worse than my lap RNY. Anyway, with lots of prayer and work I will be back to Jackson Hole this winter. Thank you Lord!

Hi Lynda. Yay for water aerobics! I hope to get back to it once my shoulders are feeling better. I'm having physical therapy on them through the middle of December, and then we'll see. I think it's great that you are doing so well. I've never skied before....don't think I'll try it...but it sure looks fun. I hope and pray that you will be able make that trip to Jackson Hole. God bless! Peg

Thanks Peg! You are a blessing! I love to rejoice in the things God is doing. I have struggled so much over the years with my weight and health and I really believe God gave me this wonderful gift with this surgery. I have skiied even heavy and I know the ski patrol at Jackson cringes everytime I go (last year twice a week if possible). Last year I took a bad spill because I hit a ridge that was pure ice and the ski patrol was there instantly (I know they were keeping a close eye on me) but I was fine. My husband was just a little down the hill from me and laughed when the ski patrol told me that I they had been watching me and that I was very good - I wanted to finish the sentence for him - for being a heavy person, right? Isn't it funny the internal conversations we have with ourselves? I am trying to change that to having many more conversations with the Lord. He is so precious! I will be praying for you and your shoulders. I have been in physical therapy many times for my knees (and I've had 3 surgeries on them) and I know the people who are there for their shoulders seems to cry out more in pain - so I will pray that physical therapy goes well for you. Thank you again for rejoicing with me! Love ya! God Bless, Lynda Phil. 4:8
