*** Tuesday's Roll Call ***
Good morning everyone! I was so glad to see everyone doing so well yesterday. I had a great day yesterday. Lots of productive study time and a very good eating day. If life after WLS is going to be like yesterday, I will have a very happy life! I was eating normal (good tasting) food in very small portions....every 2 1/2 hours just like they told me to. I actually was starting to feel a little hunger at that 2 hour mark. Something I have not really felt since surgery. Thank you Jesus for such a wonderful day! I pray that everyone has another good day today. Be sure to let us know how you are doing....good or bad. I will be praying for you all tonight when I check back in. I'm off to hit the books now.
Love, Jacinda
Hi everyone. It's a beautiful day here in my hometown, and I am just about ready to get dressed and face the day. I get my hair cut this morning, and then I promised myself that I would start on my quilt today. I have been dragging my feet about getting started. Somehow I think it has to be perfect, so I don't get started. That way it can't be imperfect.
Hmmmm. I think that quilt is a pretty good representation of how I tackle things in my life, and I need to change it. So many times I haven't started something because of fear of failure or that it won't be perfect...or should I say, "I" won't be perfect! Yes, it's definitely time to change that thought process because as we all know, only the Lord is perfect. I need to pray that He will use my weaknesses and imperfections to let His glory and light shine through.
What a relief to get that off my chest! I pray that we will all let the Lord use our weaknesses and imperfections for His glory. God bless.
Peg
Hello everyone,
Sorry I haven't been posting or replying to posts. I wasn't feeling very well, but now I feel pretty good. Thank you Jesus for some energy! One day and a wake up left to go. I'm ready. Jacinda, it's wonderful to hear how well you are doing ~ the power of prayer....ask and ye shall recieve.... It sounds like the studying is going well. Praying it all goes well for you. Hi Peg, Do you like you new do? you go ahead ond get started on that quilt. It dosen't matter if it's not perfect, Because like you said. only God is perfect. I think what matters when making thing's like this, is the effort and love you put into each little stich it takes to complete it.
God blesss you,
Annette
Hello Everyone~
I hope you are having a wonderful day. Annette, you have been on my heart today. I pray all goes well for you on Thursday!!
I have my gall bladder ultrasound and an H. Pylori screen on Friday. I admit, I didn't know anything about these. So, if you are a preop, I thought I'd mention it. I will let you know how everything goes. Then I meet with the surgeon and we set a date!
Another cool thing. My insurance company had a social worker call me just to check in and see if everything was alright. Basically, she was just calling to advocate and support me! I thought that was a nice touch! She gave advice on protien drinks, taking in protein and such. I had questions, she answered them. She also faxed my approval to the doctor's office within hours of our conversation!
So, the nurse said I have to wait 1-2 days for the results and then schedule and appointment with Dr. Thaemert. I am not sure what that consists of, but I am sure it will be great. I really like the surgeon.
Well, that is what is going on in my life...that and SNOW!!
Hope all is well with you~
Becky
PS: I am staying at my folks for a few days so I won't have my personal email!
Blessings~
