Purpose For Everyday Life

As we search for purpose in everyday life, we will often encounter our fair share of roadblocks and stumbling blocks. These situations require courage, patience, and above all, perserverance. As an example of perfect perserverance, we need look no further than our Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus finished what H began. Despite the torture He endured, despite the shame of the cross, Jesus was steadfast in His faithfulness to God. We, too, must remain faithful, especially during times of hardship. Perhaps you are in a gurry for God to reveal His plans for our lives. If so, we must be forwarned: God operates on His own timetable, not ours. Sometimes, God may answer our prayers with silence. When He does, we must patiently perservere. In times of trouble, we must remain steadfast, and trust in the merciful goodness of our Heavenly Father. Whatever our problem, He can handle it. Our job is to keep persevering until He does. - Therefore let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for he joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
