Good Morning everyone!! I pray everyone has a very blessed day today. I'm up early as usual. Got to get the kids to school. Hubby headed down south yesterday. He has a meeting in the Florida Keys so please keep him in your prayers as he travels. He probably won't be bac****il next Thursday and I'm missing him already. But, at least I can work this weekend and get in some extra hours. How is everyone? Please post and let us know or just to say hello. Jac, I hope you are feeling better. Rosie, how are you doing? Good I hope. Both of our Cynthia's, how are you doing? Annette and anyone else I may have forgotten. Just know that I do lift everyone on this board up to our precious Savior. I do pray for a hedge of protection around everyone and may you feel his presence throughout this day. Shel

Good Morning Shel, It is so great to have you back and posting again. I will keep your hubby's travel in my prayers. It must be hard with him traveling so much. I know you must miss him terribly. Things are going pretty good here. I am eating just fine. I don't think I am getting enough water in. I wake up with a dry mouth every morning and this morning my lower back was hurting. I have got to do a better job drinking. This is one thing I never really imagined about life after surgery. I was so used to just downing a bunch of water if I needed it before. I have exactly one wee****il the sergeant's exam and I still have not finished reading one of the books. Taking the test now after missing so much study time while I was sick is a real long shot. There is a lot of competition. Most people have read all the books at least twice. I'm going to give it a shot anyway. Its ok if it doesn't happen this time. I have a good job and good supervisors. Plus my schedule is perfect for everything that I have to do with my kids. I am truly blessed! Speaking of blessed, I feel especially blessed to have my kids. They are a true miracle. It's so easy to get caught up in the day to day things and forget how precious they are. Today as I watched them leaving for school, I just felt overwhelmed by the precious gifts that God has given me. Thank you God for every beautiful life you give us! Well gang, don't forget to post today! I will pray for each of you. Now I'm off to hit the books and drink, drink, drink! I hope everyone has a day filled with the joy of the Lord! Love, Jacinda

You know, I need to brag a little on my girls too. I just can't believe how much my oldest daughter, Katherine, has grown up this year. She has ADHD but is doing so good in school this year. I'm so proud of her and the way she is taking responsibility and coming home and doing homework immediately and practicing her flute. My youngest one, Kayla, cleaned the kitchen for me the other day. Paul and I had gone to choir practice and when I came home she had put the dishes in the dishwasher. That was a wonderful surprise. My girls always wake up kind of grouchy and sometimes I can let it ruin the day by getting grouchy right back, but here lately I've turned that grouchiness around and they go to school smiling and laughing instead. I know that it is because everyone here is praying for me. I can feel the Lord working on me. I've started going to Ladies' Bible Study on Wednesday mornings and we are going through Encouraging One Another by Women of Faith. I've really enjoyed it. I do pray the Lord keeps changing all of us from the inside out and that we become more like Him in every way. Anyway, I'm rambling and I need to be working. Have a great day!!! Shel

Good afternoon everyone, Hope all is well. Hi Shel, It's nice to have you back. We are so blessed to have children in our lives. Glad to hear your's are doing well. My daughter had conferences with my grandson's teacher on Monday. He's doing very well. The teacher said he surprised her, because he's the youngest in the class by 6 months, but he is the best reader in the class. He need's to work more on his numbers though. He comes home with some really bad stuff he has picked up from there ~we're looking into christian schools for next year. Jacinda all you can do is pray, study what you can, and do your best on the exam. You've been sick for a while, which of course puts you at a disadvantage. What you do now will prepare you for the next time you can take it~that is if you don't pass it this time~but you might pass Today is the second day of my liquid fast. I'm doing pretty good so far. I do feel a little bit tired. I need to find a way to get some energy. The Lord is continuing to give me a clear peace throughout my entire being. Thank you Jesus! I have to get some running around done here. Rosie I miss your wonderful sense of humor~ Where are you at girl? Hi Debbie, we're glad you found this forum too. It is good to know we are praying for each other on this board. Everybody else Please stop in even if it's just a quick hi. God bless you all, Annette

I'm here! I' here!. Hi Annette,Shel,Jacinda,Debbie and Ginakay!!!!!Hugs and Kiss's to you all. I've been really tired for these last two days. I saw Dateline the other night and they were tallkin about men that go online and chat with 10-15yr old kids. I logged on to their website Perverted justice.com and I was so broken hearted on what I read. I was wondering do you all think that I should let my 14 going on 15 year old daughter read what is going on behind these chat rooms? I don't allow her to go to places like these of course, but she does e-mail a few of her friends. I am always watching where she is and who she is talking with but just in case I can't always be there. What do you all think? I would love some of your advice Thank you and God Bless yOU Rosie

Hello Shel and everyone! Sunny and cool here today, just perfect but I am sure cold weather will come eventually. We have usually had our first freeze before now but not this year. I agree that it is great to find a place where fellow Christian believers meet and share! I pray everyones families are doing well. I spoke for about 2 hours on the phone last evening with my middle son. A lot of his conversation was about the Lord and some things he has been learning etc... I feel so blessed that my 3 sons love the Lord and are leading their family in worship and service to the Lord. That my grandchildren are growing up in Christian homes! Guess thats my praise for the day. Also thankful to be this far along as a post op and doing well. I still have to really work at it to get in all the protein and water the doc wants me to have but I am coming along well. It will be three weeks on Monday and I also start back to work then so that will be an adjustment too. Blessings to all! Gina

It was good to hear from all of you today. Debbie we are glad to have you here and are looking forward to getting to know you better. Shel, I also have an ADHD kid. My son was diagnosed a year ago at the ripe old age of 3. The doctors wanted to put him on medication then. I said no and decided to look into alternative solutions. Its not that I'm against meds....just not for a 3yo. I have greatly altered his diet and also put him on a vitamin supplementation program designed specifically for ADHD. He's also been in play and speech therapy for the last year. So far, he's doing very well. Hard to say exactly what did it since we made so many changes at the same time. But, he was off the supplements for about 6 weeks while I was in the hospital and recovering and his teacher noticed a change in his activity level. Of course that could also be a psychological reaction to me being in the hospital. I started him back on the supplements a couple of days ago. My daughter also wakes up grumpy almost every morning (5yo). I have started tickling the grumps out of her. I am glad that you are enjoying your women's group. As soon as this test is over, I'm going to get back into mine. Annette, it sounds like you are doing so good. I did not have to do a liquid diet before surgery....except for the day before surgery. That was hard enough. You've still got almost a week left. I will be praying for you big time. I know that is hard. Life after surgery seems so ironic. Before, we are hungry all the time and have to work hard not to eat. After, we have to work hard to eat. Ginakay, how are you doing, we have hardly heard from you lately. I cant believe its been 3 weeks already since you had your surgery. Time has really flown by. You are such a trooper to already be going back to work. I will be praying for you big time also. I thank God for you guys! You all really keep me going. I hope everyone has a great weekend! Love, Jacinda
