Yes, I made it today! Paul is gone so I haven't had the laptop at home to check on all of you. I hope everyone is doing good. I'm doing okay, I guess. My mom has scheduled her total knee replacement, please keep her in your prayers. Her name is Anne. She is really upset about this. The knee replacement isn't until May so please pray for peace for her. I don't know if I told you, but she had found a spot on her arm and it was cancer. Well, the doctors managed to get it all so that is a big Praise God!! This is kind of a silly prayer request, but my daughter has misplaced her cell phone. Would ya'll pray that we find it?! The reason I got her one is because we couldn't find her after a football game one night. She plays in the band. By the time we did find her she had been crying and I was so worried and upset. I couldn't handle that again. Anyway, even if I don't get to post, I'm lifting all of you up to the throne of our Lord and Savior. I pray everyone has a very blessed day and weekend. I love all of you and thank you so very much for your prayers and encouragement. Shel

Well, I am here. I haven't been on this board along time, and then moved so I was offline for about a week but now I am back. You will be in my thoughts. Denise

Denise, we are glad to have you back!!! Please post as often as you can. I can understand the move thing. We moved to GA from AR in July. It is hard living this far away from Mom and Dad, but we are starting to settle in. We've found a church we really love and I'm praying this job works out so that I will have something to do during the day. I'm training to do medical transcription. I've been told that you just have to tell the boss that you need to get home, so I guess that is what I will have to do. I've been training for three weeks and he said the training period was three to four weeks. Anyway, didn't mean to ramble. Have a great weekend! Shel

Good morning Shel and everyone! What an awesome roll call we had yesterday. If you havent read the whole thing, go back and read it today. It was great to hear from so many people that we havent heard from in a while. I have a couple of praises. My mother-in-law took my kids last night and said that she would keep them for the night and all day today since they were sick. I was really afraid of catching whatever they have since I am still recovering. I had the best night sleep last night. No kids or nurses coming into the room in the middle of the night. Praise God for my mother-in-law and for a great night sleep. Shel, I pray for you everyday. I know you are having a hard time with your new job. I really think it will get easier for you over time. It takes a few months to adjust to something new in your life. Also I will pray that you find your daughter's cell phone, and for your mom. Ginakay, I totally understand what you were saying yesterday about feeling full all the time. That is usually how I feel too. That or I just feel nothing. Not empty or full. I think that is why it is so important to follow the doctor's instructions completely so that we won't hurt our new pouch. Becky, It was great to hear from you yesterday. I know what you mean about needing to fast from the computer. I am here alot lately. But it is really good therapy for me to be able to talk to all of you right now. It helps me get my mind and my pray life on something besides myself. It sounds like you are moving right along on your journey to WLS. Please keep us posted with your progress. It is unbelievable how long it can take isn't it? Oh yeah, I will be praying for you hubby too. Now my heros: Peg and Cindy Snyder, You guys amaze me! You both just keep chuging along as if nothing ever bothers you. Yet, you've both been through so much. Cindy, I have been reading your updates on your profile. I'm praying that your edema gets in check soon. All tha****er is sooo uncomfortable. Just imagine how much weight you will have lost once you get all tha****er out of you! Cynthia, I hope you are still doing well. Try not to over do it with work. You are still healing! It amazes me how long it takes to heal after this surgery. I really was not prepared to be this tired for so long. Friends, God has been so faithful to all of us. If you look back on these posts over the last couple of months, you will see so many answers to prayer. Thank you Lord for carrying all of us through these difficult times. Thank you for your abundant blessings. Thank you for leading us all here to this site so that we can lift up each other daily and see the many ways you are moving in our lives. Lord, be with us all today. Guide us in the way you want us to go. Fill us with your spirit. Let us feel your love, joy and peace today. In Jesus name, Amen Thanks for posting and letting us know how you are doing! I love you guys! Jacinda

Bless your heart, Jacinda, for the encouraging words, but YOU also have been through an awful lot and have really hung in there, girl!!!!! I agree with you 100%: "Thank you Lord for carrying all of us through these difficult times." I can't imagine going through this without the Lord! I know I couldn't have!!!! Yes, the water is finally coming off! 20 pounds just this week!!!! UNREAL!!!!! I'm not in as much pain now either. The Lymphedema in my legs has made it a lot worse than normal. I am able to walk a little easier now. I am so glad that you were able to get a good nights sleep. It makes a world of difference!!!! Thanks for your prayers, Jacinda! God bless you! Love, Cindy

Jac, I'm so glad you got a good nights sleep. You have been through so much. I always look forward to hearing from you. You have such a sweet spirit and I know you are praying for us. I can feel those prayers. I'm doing okay with the job. I just want to get home. I'm going to have to just tell Brian that I need to get home. We can live off of what my dh makes, it just gives us extra money to spend. My husband says that if he doesn't let me come home after another week, to quit. I hate to do that so I just keep praying. I talked to momma this morning and she sounded kind of down. Oh, and we found Kat's cell phone!! Thanks so much for praying for that. Paul came home and went into Kat's bedroom and found it. Even after the rest of us had looked. God is awesome!! I told Kat that the phone stays in her purse unless she is answering it and then she puts it back in her purse. I think when I threatened to make her pay me back for it, it kind of scared her. So maybe she will keep up with it a little better. Anyway, I hope you have a good night's sleep tonight and a great Jesus filled weekend. Shel

Just checking in. I am not feeling well these last two days. I can tell I am getting weak because I cannot stomach the protein shakes or supplements. I also am getting very bored at home and I am concerned that depression is not far behind. I came to the realization that normally (pre-op) I would be eating these feelings away. Now I can't do that and I don't know what to do. I'm disappointed that it's not second nature to pick up my bible or pray. Satan is creeping in on my recovery and I have to kick him out NOW~!!! I'm going for a walk this morning. I have the day off from work. God bless you all. Cynthia

You are in my thoughts and prayers, Cynthia! It's good that you already are aware of the enemy's sceme so that you can take the authority over him! Bless your heart! We're here for you! Love, Cindy

Oh Cynthia, don't let that old devil steal your joy!!! Just keep your eyes on the Savior. Depression is a terrible thing and at least you know when it is settling in. After I went through severe depression after my youngest daughter was born, I can now tell when it is trying to take over again. Just keep praying and God will see you through this. Shel

A good morning to you all, "The people rejoiced... for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the Lord." 1 Chronicles 29:9 N.I.V. Are you rejoicing today? Oh man God is Awsome!!! I love being able to feel His spirit moving and working in me! Thank you Jesus! Try to hang in there Shel. The Lord is with you. Why is your mom upset over her knee replacement? My Father-in-law had his knee replaced and both of his hips years ago. It was the best thing he could have done for them. His recovery was pretty quick. And at 86 years old he still enjoys golfing and bowling. If it wern't for the replacements he wouldn't be able to even walk now. Tell her she will be fine. I'm so glad everyone is doing better. Cynthia ~kick that devil to the ground~We know his future and so does he! That's what I had to do just a few days ago~ Thank you Jesus~ I have been doing wonderful ever since. You will too! Jacinda Glad you were able to get some much needed rest. It is wonderful to hear from so many yesterday. Listen for that still quit voice... God be with you all today as you go about His work. God bless, Annette
