Thursday roll call***
Good morning! At least, it is still morning here on the west coast! I am so glad to be able to catch up with all of you and know that our Lord is watching over all of us. Isn't that just the most wonderful feeling? A friend sent me the following email, and I thought I'd share it with you.
"To all those that are in the struggle, I just wanted everyone to have a blessed day and prosperous week!
Philippians 4:13 --- I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success."
May you all have a successful, Jesus filled day!
Peg
Checking in late but hello to all and I enjoyed your posts. Annette I am glad you were able to have your mind settled about having surgery. Thank the Lord for that peace He only can give!
I had a good day (post op day day 10) It seems like everyday I get a bit stronger. My husband went back to work this evening so my first evening alone since I came home from surgery. I actually walked to the horse barn and fed them some hay. I didn't have to but they enjoy the second feeding if someone is home to do it. The only thing was that I was getting really tired when I went in.
Jac, your right, and I am trying to follow my doctors instructions totally. Its odd but in regard to eating, I don't even feel like I have had surgery because nothing so far bothers me at all. I do feel pretty much full all the time so when I eat or drink something I do go slow and stop fairly soon because I just feel full. I don't know about the dumping but I have not tried anything sweetened with regular sugar.
By the way, I hope your family is feeling better and that whatever illness was going on there will not be picked up by you.
Blessings to all!
Gina
Sorry~
I have been out of touch. I have been very busy. Also, I am doing a bit of a computer fast. I have to do that from time to time when the computer becomes too much of a priority!
Things are fair to middlin' here. The kids and I miss dh (he is deployed right now) and my youngest is super sick.
I had both Psych and Dietician consult. So, the next step is insurance approval. Lord willing I will have my surgery before the end of the year.
As per usual God is FAITHFUL and I am so blessed to be a part of this wonderful sight.
Please TRUST that in my absence I have been praying for you all. Especially, Gina Kay, Cynthia, Cindy, Jacinda, Peg and Shel (job!)
I see that there are many more requests...this warrior will surely be interceding on your behalves!
Blessings and much love~
Becky
Hello Becky,
I'm glad you had a chance to stop by and let us know how you are. I know it must be hard with your hubby gone. How long will he be away? Where did they send him to? My daughters fiance` has been deployed 3 times in the last 4 years. Twice for a year, and once for a year and a half. He just came back in July. Spent a week here and had to go back to Hawaii, Thats where he's stationed. I hope your son feels better soon. keeping you all in my prayers.
God bless you,
Annette
