Just to update and thank those who offered to remember me in prayer. I did have my surgery on the 24th, in fact I had two surgeries that day. My husband teased me about wanting to have this surgery both lap and open which is what ended up happening. But I am doing well now. I won't go into the details here but its in my profile if anyone wants to know. I am happy to be post op and the soreness is getting better every day. Haven't been on the board until today, hope everyone is doing well! Blessings, Gina

We made it!! Congrats and God bless you! I will check out your profile. My toughest time now is in the mornings with nausea but I take my Prilosec first thing in the morning and after 30 minutes or so, I am ok to eat. You should be starting pureed food by now right? Good luck! Cynthia

Congratulations Gina! So sorry you had to be cut on twice. But, glad you made it to the other side safely. Looks like everybody has made it back safely. Now we can get on our way to being BIG LOSERS!!! Keep posting and let us know how you are doing. Love, Jacinda

thanks all, and I also am happy all the recent post ops have made it safely over to the losing side! Actually I am still full liquid but should start "soft" pretty soon. I have not yet had nausea at all so I'm glad for that. Jac, hope you are feeling well, I have not had a chance to read back posts. Blessings all! Gina

Hi Gina. I'm so glad you are post op! Are you home from the hospital? Maybe you wrote that somewhere that I didn't see. If not, I pray that you will be home soon. If you are home, I pray that you heal very quickly. I too was an open RNY...my second one in 15 months. I'm working at getting well, and each day find me less and less sore. God bless and keep you.
