I am home & missed you all very much!
Thank you all so much for your prayers. I just got home from the hospital last evening after being admitted last Monday, the 17th. When I feel a little better I will post and update my profile, but in a nutshell: the surgeon felt that my bowels twisted after the first surgery (1 hour 20 mintues long) so after many tests and much pain, she did a second surgery this past Saturday afternoon (2 hours long) and straighten the bowel and also "redesigned" the area around the pouch. I felt a million times better and God was there the whole way! I have so much to share. He is so wonderful, and His Grace, Power and Peace are mighty!!!!! Bless His Holy Name!!!! I love you all, and prayed and thought about you all often, and wanted to be able to post so badly! Thank you to those who shared with you from what they had heard. How is Cynthia S. Has anyone heard? Her surgery was last Tuesday, she has been in my thoughts and prayers too! I'll write more later. Love, Cindy
Cindy, it is truly a blessing to hear from you! I am so glad that you are feeling better. Sorry to hear that you had to be cut on twice. But aat least it made you feel better. There has not been much posting since you left for your surgery. Shel has been having to take her computer to work during training so she has not been around. Cynthia posted that she was back and she was asking about you. Ginakay went in for surgery on Mon and so far we have not heard from her. I continue to reside at the hospital with constant unexplainable diarhea. I am trying to be patient but it has been hard. The good news is that my surgery is all in tact and looks perfect. If I could kick this nausea and diarhea, I could go home and "begin to live a normal life". I have been here for two weeks now minus the two days they sent me home to get dehydrated.
Anyway, enough complaining. I am so releived that you are home and safe. I am anxious to here how your recovery is going, what you are eating, etc. Please post again as soon as you feel up to it.
You know, in 6 mos. or so when we are all feeling healed up and enjoying our lives as big losers, we should all try to meet up somewhere in the middle. Take care and happy healing!
Love, Jacinda
Hi Jacinda. I just wanted you to know that I am praying for you. It's really hard being in the hospital and not feeling well. I think the most difficult thing for me during all of my recouping time was/is learning to be patient. I pray that you will soon be out of the hospital and can finally "begin to live a normal life." I really hear you. It didn't feel like I was making any progress, and then I would look back at where I had been a week ago or two weeks ago, and then I could see the progress.
I'm with you in prayer right now, Jacinda, asking the Lord to heal you of your nausea and diarhea. God bless and keep you in His tender care.
In Him,
Peg
Hi Cindy. Welcome home! Isn't it a great feeling to get back to familiar surroundings? I'm glad that they got you all straighted up. Isn't it a blessing not to have to go through these things alone? God is always with us, and He carries us when we can't make it on our own. God bless and keep you in His tender care.
Peg
Hello!
So very glad to see you made it though okay and are home! Sorry you had to have a second surgery, but no doubt the Good Lord was there with you all the way (and still is! ).
Just wanted to drop a quick note to tell you congradulations, and that you are a true inspiration! God has blessed you, and in turn, you have blessed me! I have just finished reading your profile, and it gave me lots to think on I praise God for fine chrisitians who aren't afraid to tell the world about Him!
Thank you so much, I pray that your recovery will be swift and you will be a BIG loser soon!
God Bless

Cindy,
How are you? My first week was very rough. Today I am 11 days out and feel ok. I was taking my prilosec and Tums at the wrong time so I was always nauseous. Now I take them first thing in the morning and can get food in. This is the hardest thing I 've ever done!!! But at my first surgeon's follow up yesterday, I showed a 23 pound weight loss. That is just crazy. Prayer really got me through this surgery!! I'll try to chat more later. This eating every two hours is a tough schedule to keep up!
Love,
Cyn S.
