Prayer request please
First of all, Thank you to all of you who have been praying for me. I was released from the hospital yesterday after having some kind of infection that was never really identified. They let me go home because my white blood cell count was back to normal and my diarhea was reduced although not gone altogether. I spend 5 days in the hospital. I was told to come home and resume a soft solid diet. My first attempt at that was a miserable failure. I ate 4 saltine crackers. After an hour, I was again in horrible pain with stomach cramping. After about an 2 more hours it stopped but I felt naucious and weak the rest of the day. It was not until much later in the evening that I could even drink fluids. Right now, I continue to feel very weak yet I am unable to sleep. I am very scared. It is a huge struggle to even drink right now. Since I went into the hospital on Friday, I have hardly gotten in any protein. I am trying to do the shakes again but I only got in one of the three that I need yesterday. I feel like I am slowly dying. I have three more weeks off from work but if things don't change, I don't know how I will be able to go back. Please continue to lift me up to the Lord and pray that He will at least let me feel well enough to eat enough to get in what I need. Thank you and God Bless,
Jacinda
I remember being scared, Jac. Trust in the Lord and tell Him how you feel. Try to remember that God uses us to bring glory to Him. So ask yourself, how is the Lord using this? I alway figured that after it was over it would make for some great witnessing!! Pray Jac. And then pray some more. God will deliver you and you shall glorify Him. Call the doc and make sure to tell them what is going on and then prepare yourself to tell the world of the great thing the Lord did for you.
Hi Jacinda. I am joining the others in prayer for you right now. "Lord, please be with Jacinda and give her Your peace. It is so scary to face the unknown, but You will never forsake or desert us. In Jesus' precious name, Amen."
If you haven't already done so, please call the doctor's office. Have they given you anything for the nausea? They may need to tweak your medications. You are going through the roughest spot in this journey right now. It will get better. You may not see any progress right now, but look back a week from now, and you will probably see that you have made a lot of progress. God bless and keep you, Jacinda. Please let us know how you are doing. We care.
In Him,
Peg
Thank you so much for all your prayers everyone. I did call my doctor and he said that it is just going to take time to get the infection out of my system. He said to focus on my fluid intake for now and to try to get in my protein shakes when I can. So, that is what I have been doing all day. He said that if I started feeling really bad again to just go back to the hospital and he will put me back on the IV fluids. I am not that bad yet but I must confess that I do feel much better when the IV is in. Too bad you can't take that thing home. Anyway, I am praying and drinking and praying and drinking. I know all of your prayers are helping too. Thank you so much everyone for your prayers and support. And those of you that are further down the road, it makes me feel so hopeful to hear you say that it will get better. Thanks again!
Love, Jacinda
Glad to hear from you Jacinda. I was getting a little nervous and wondering if you were OK. We know how rough it can be in the start and you begin wondering if you did the right thing. I can remember asking over and over "why did I do this?". It will pass with time and you'll be so wound up you'll be looking for things to do and running with those kids and ...........oh, you'll see. You're going to FEEL GREAT!
BTW, I read that you are a police officer. A BIG thank you for what you do for us.
peace,
Glenn
