Good Morning all!! Well, it is another Monday morning. I hope all had a great weekend and God blessed you in some way over the weekend. We went back to First Baptist in Nashville and enjoyed it. They usually have two services on Sundays but this month they are only having one service and it was packed. Praise God!!! They had a men's quartet sing and I really enjoyed them. We met a couple at the Junior High football game last week and left without getting their names. Well, this just shows how God works. They were sitting behind us in the service Sunday morning!! So, we exchanged phone numbers and where we live and all. I thank God so much for always providing me with a friend wherever we live. She seems to be a wonderful Christian lady and she has 8 kids!! I think she is a foster mother. Anyway, don't mean to ramble. I guess I need to get off here and make sure the kids are getting ready for school. Everyone have a blessed Monday and be sure to lift everyone up to the throne of our Savior today!! Welcome to anyone new and tell us a little more about yourself. Shel

Wow Shel, it sounds like you had a lovely weekend! I am so glad. Cynthia~I prayed for you today. May God give you peace as you make this life change. Isn't it wonderful that HE won't change before and after WLS!!?? I am doing well, I am getting much done around the house. I have my first consult with the surgeon this Friday at 10:30 a.m. I called the insurance company and unless something goes way crazy they will cover the surgery at 100% after the deductible! PTL!! So, I guess I am starting the marathon to change my life. Dh and I have a date Friday night and my folks are taking the little ones overnight!! I can't wait! Blessings~ Becky

First Baptist in Nashville, is that Adrian Rodgers church? I love him! A little about myself...I live currently in Charleston SC I have a 19 year old son who attends Oral Robers University, and a younger son who will be 18 on the 27th of this month. He attends private Christian school. My husband is in the Air Force, and is retiring in May, so any prayers for a new job with the airlines would be much appreciated. He is going to Atlanta for interviews and hiring information seminar. We are praying for him to get hired by FedEx, UPS or Southwest, those are our top three choices. We also need prayer about where we should retire, and are asking God to lead us where to go and to speak to us about what to do. We are very much bonded to our church here, and are the Intercessor Leaders, and soon to be Deacons, but we also need to be where my husband can work and pay for food on the table, and its his dream as he has been preparing for this career for 20 years or more in the Air Force and Air Force Academy. I thank you all for your prayers and look forward to read posts on this board! God Bless, Deb

Good Evening Shel, Cindy, Becky and Deb, First off, I will pray for you all tonight. What a blessing to have this site where we can all lift each other up to the Lord in our different stages of life! I am still on the road to recovery and doing pretty well. I just got back from a weekend visit to see my Grandmother. We had a very good weekend together. I am still on a full liquid diet. Most liquids go down fine. That protein shake is really hard to get down though. I don't know what it is about it. It doesnt taste bad. But when it hits the pouch I just feel sick. Its all I can to to take another swallow. Other than that, I seem to be healing up fine. I can walk an hour at a time...which I was not doing before WLS. Things are already fitting better than before. I do have times when I really miss eating. I'm not hungry. But I am missing food...my former comforter. I am amazed at how many times I start to put a piece of food in my mouth without even thinking about it. Hopefully this withdrawl will not last long and I will learn to lean more on my real comforter, our amazing and gracious Lord Jesus. Blessings to you all! I will lift you up to Him tonight. Jacinda
