Question
I just have one question for the moderators of this site. Why can certain people in other message board communities can blaspheme the name of God and say mean and offensive things about Christians and how we live our lives, call us names like Bible Thumpers and their posts stay and ours get pulled for something as positive as praying??? Just a question that would be interesting for them to answer.
I know the answer, time is short and the enemy is mad, and we are being persecuted all over the world. Well, just keep praying and hang in there and consider it a priveledge to be persecuted for the name of Jesus!!
Good questions dear one. Hope you hear something back.
A few months back I complained to the moderators about someone saying..."you have a s****y God!" in an email sent to me by a wiccan, and no response from them at all. I was ignored.
I realize taking a stand for just plain right and wrong isn't easy, especially when the offender is simply bulgerant and forceful. It's diffcult to be courageous and stand up to someone who is an expert on being offensive and assertive.
But I must say, "just forgive and move on." Whether they ask or not, whether you want to or not.
Remember he is "the rock to make them fall", an offender to the prideful.
Even my saying so may be misunderstood by those who do not see clearly, but dimly. Still love them and He will know you are faithful.

Sally
Thanks Sally for your reply. I appreciate you replying, and one day when we stand before Him, and lay our crowns at His feet, we can rest in His mercy and grace knowing we did our best to be light in the darkness. It is His battle, we are but His instruments on this earth. Until the earth becomes His footstool, we will just keep fighting when called to, rest when asked to, and witness all the time!!
What they don't understand is that we are not fighting them, but praying for them, and lifting them up before the throne of grace. One day when they stand before God, they will have to bow before Him and acknowledge Jesus is Lord. It pains me to think of anyone being sent to hell because of a false belief and faith in self love.
One of my favorite Bible Verses:
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against
the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Ephesians 6:11-18
Deborah, I also wonder that if those who are offended because we are praying for them might feel that those prayers could be answered. (does that make sense) Why would they honestly care what we are doing if they didn't feel that those prayers could be answered and they might find out that they are wrong. Just my opinion. Anyway, have a blessed day.
Shel
I am ever so grateful that it is about relationship and NOT religion as many misunderstand.
Our God is sovereign and loves our obedience in prayer for the lost, and for our enemies. Yes, I did say enemies. B/C we either love God or do not.
There have many people that I have a hard time praying for. Sometimes I must confess to God that I am praying in obedience only. Then I humbly plead for a meeker heart attitude. And thank you Jesus for his Grace even in that.
Talk to ya'll later.

I had wanted to refrain from ever posting to this board but I have consulted an attorney in this matter and have a suggestion I will present to the board administration.
What bothers me as a member of the Atheist forum is you and your members specifically talking about us. Posting that you've looked at our board and you're shocked and you think we need prayers because we're so "deceived" etc. You're talking specifically about us. The board should not be used for members to talk about other members. No group or individuals on this board should make posts about any other group or individuals.
Further, under the TOS, "posts that contain unwanted attempts to convert someone's religious beliefs" are prohibited. THIS APPLIES ON BOTH SIDES OF THE ISSUE. There will never be a post on the Atheist board about ways to drive people away from religion or that people on this board should give up their religious beliefs. Similarly, you should extend us the same respect and refrain from posts that discuss that you believe we should change our views.
The discussions on the Atheist board are about atheist and non-theist views and our members's personal experiences with religion and atheism. They have NOT been about any discussions or members from this board. Our posts are not about you or directed specifically at you. Further, we have not used any slang or inappropriate terms to describe your deities or practices. In fact, a post that used an inappropriate term for Jesus was removed from the Atheist board AT MY REQUEST.
What atheists might choose to discuss in general obviously distresses you. The best advice, therefore, is that you refrain from reading our board. We will make every effort to be sure that no member of the atheist board uses inappropriate language or references any thread, post, or member from this forum.
There will NEVER be a post on the Atheist board about ways to dissuade religious people away from their beliefs. You need to extend the same courtesy to us.
I received the following email, would like to share it and my response. Also, if any of you know Jay Sekulo, I will also share this with him. We must be making a dent in hell, so please put on the whole armor of God and continue praying. God Bless everyone and may we do His will, and not ours. (God had spoken to me about praying, He obviously has a plan).

Dona,
I never said I was praying for you, however, you are talking about Christians and our board specifically, so please get your facts straight first, and sorry you are bothered by this. Why are you so offended??? If you did not believe in anything then it should not bother you at all. If I had no belief in anything but myself, then I would not care what others say about me. If I were to pray for you, it seems that you are worried it might work??? I don't understand. This sort of proves my point that its okay for for some groups to talk against our beliefs which you do, admittantly, but for us to say something positive like "praying for someone else" is considerd wrong. Our country the last time I looked was still free, and I can pray for whomever I want, and on the outside chance that perhaps there is a God, you would think that anyone would want His support. If you don't believe, then why get so upset??
Have a great day, we are in no way, shape, or form bashing you, but lifting you up to the throne of mercy and grace that is our right to do in this country, as is your right not to believe.
Sincerely,
Deb
Deb--That wasn't an email. As you can see here, it was a public post so I will respond publicly.
The members of the Atheist board have never written any posts about the Christianity board except when one member posted about a thread in which your members were talking about us. That is a fact.
Obviously, our general discussion topics will be distressing to you BUT THEY ARE NOT DIRECTED TO YOU PERSONALLY OR THIS BOARD.
Further, we will never discuss that we feel you or any other Christian should abandon your faith. We won't be posting anything like "Check out the Christian board. How can we get them to change their minds and wise up?" Isn't it fair therefore, that you refrain from posts taking the tone that we should change.
Continuing to post about us has the potential to create a situation in which OH decides to eliminate all religion/spirituality boards. So how about finding ways we can all co-exist? Not in the entire world, just here on these boards. OK?
Dohn,
You sound like a very sweet, sensitive person, and I would never want to hurt anyone's feelings. I was not offended by what your board wrote, but its hard for you to understand, not having the belief we do, that we believe we are called by God, creator of the whole universe, as our Bible teaches us to pray for one another in all things, and if we were to water down our belief, then it would be failing at what we believe God wants us to do. I would never want cause anyone distress, but rest, never hurt or pain, but healing and love. That is what we believe. There are many many articles, books, and scientists who can make claims for either side for what they believe in, but there is only one truth and that is why non believers think Christians are judgemental. We aren't, but if we deny Christ, whom we believe is God, then we are sinning. Jesus said that if we take the salt out of the earth, then what is left?? We are called, by our belief to be light and salt.
You can see after the hurricanes who were the first ones in to help? Not the government, but the churches. The believers of this country banded together for the first time to show what God's love is supposed to be on this earth. We are told to occupy til He comes back to earth. I know this type of belief in something that is not seen or tangible makes no sense, believe me, I was a non believer before, but I had a personal experience with the Lord and I did see Him, and I could not deny His existence anymore, I had to bow at His name, and accept His free gift that is open to everyone, not exclusive, but inclusive.
This is a better way to put it, if I had a cure for some disease, and I had knowledge of this, I would want to share it with the whole world, so they could have this knowledge. We have such love for you and everyone, every human being, and we believe that when a person dies, you will either enter into heaven or hell, there is no in between and no slumber, no becoming energy in the atmoshpere, and because we are taught numerous times in the Bible that there is a hell, and it is for eternity, not just for a punishment and a short time, but eternity and forever, and ever, it makes us more "zealous" to not let anyone go there for eternity, our motivation is out of love.
I love you Dohn, I really do, and everyone on your site, and will pray for you, and I thank you for your kind words. I haven't been to your site since last week, and am not going back, no need, just wanted to read a few, not for bashing purposes, but for incite into your belief, and it led me to want to pray for you
Thanks, and I hope I did an okay job of explaining what our belief is, and that it might have enlightened you in some way that you did not know before.
Have a great day, warmest regards
Deb
I'm going to guess by "Dohn" you mean me? I'm Dona.
Deb, I have no interest in learning about your beliefs and I'm not going to tell you anything about mine. That's not what we're talking about here. This is about messageboard etiquette, usage guidelines, and Terms of Service.
The members of this board need to stop posting about our board. Simple as that. Do I have your assurance that we've seen the last of any reference to the Atheist Forum on this board?
