I am three days out and I feel like a huge balloon. I am very careful when I drink not to gulp in too much air, but I still have so much gas. It's to the point that I don't even feel like drinking anything. I am so afraid of getting dehydrated. I just left the hospital yesterday. And I had an IV until right after I left. I have walked and belched and let it come out every way I know how but it is still there. Any suggestions would be more than welcome. Thanks and God's grace to you all! Jacinda

You're not using a straw when you drink, are you? Also, has your MD allowed you to take Pepcid A/C, chewed up of course, twice daily, for awhile? Have you called your MD about this? I hope you get relief soon, sorry you are so uncomfortable. Sally

Jacinda, I only know from things that I have read, because I have not had my surgery yet. I hear we are suppose to walk, walk, walk. Some take Gas-X or what ever their doctor has said that they can. That's all I remember reading...sorry! I feel so bad for you, I wish I could help! God bless you! Cindy

Hi Jacinda, I personally don't know 'cause I haven't had my surgery as of yet. A friend of mine said that putting her arms up over her head and kind of streaching help her to break up her excess air. Hope this helps. God bless you, Annette
