questions for the day?

Don't know if you ever do the 5 questions thing here ,but it is a good way to learn some things about others in the group Here are some for today...hope to hear from all who want to join in. 1. What is your marital status? 2. Do you have children? 3. Do you have a favorite past time/hobby? 4. How long have you been a Christian believer? 5. Do you have a 'life verse'?

Here are my own answers: 1. I am married to Steve. We had our 37th ann last month. 2. children-- 3 grown sons, now 5 grands (the reward of putting up with those boys all those years! ) 3. My favorite past-time is reading. 4. I became a Christian at age 12. Had some years of stunted growth but the Lord has faithfully brought me along... 5. Psalms 84 has been the one I have claimed as my life verse(s). In particular verse 5 "Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, Whose heart is set on pilgrimage." thats me, I'm a traveler until I appear before God in Zion. reminds me not to put too much emphasis on the "stuff" around me.

Hi, here are my answers: 1. I am married. We also had our anniversary last month. 9years 2. Children- I have 3 also, two boys ages 8,10month and one daughter 5 They are the joy in my life. 3. I love to ready anything that will feed my spirit, especially spiritual warfare books. 4. I became a Christian in 1998 when I was 20. It has been the best 7 years of my life. The Lord has blessed me every step of the way. My husband and I Pastor the Youth at our church. I love it I just want to walk worthy of the calling that he has called me too! 5. I have so many Life verses, he has seen me through so much that I just can't pick one. God is so good to me, he is AWESOME and FAITHFUL even when I am not faithful. I love him and he loves me! I Love the Lord with all that I am. Just writing about him gives me a greater passion for his name and for who he is.

After 24 years of marriage I divorced my husband, He died in March of a drug overdose~I loved him dearly and only divorced because I could no longer live that lifestyle~ If you want more info, feel free to read my profile. I miss him so very much #2.Yes I have 3 boys ages 27~18~17 and one girl Age 25. #3. I love to bake, and play around to see what I can create. I like to decorate cakes, used to do it professionally. I enjoy doing arts and crafts with children. and reading. Someday I would like to be able to go camping and canoeing again. #4. 9 years. I must admit I served the Lord and was very close to him for 5 years. I don't know what happened but one day I woke up and realized I was far, far away from him. I stopped reading the Bible, stopped praying, and only went to church every few weeks. I don't know how I got so far away, but am fighting to get as close as we once were. I am 35 and am single (never been married), no children except my two cats Dante & Lucia. My favorite hobby is crafting. I also enjoying spending time with my neices and nephews. I have been a Christian since age 12 but recommitted my life to Christ fully and completely in 1997 (at an Alpha Retreat). I never thought of my life verse before but the first thing that comes to mind is "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." I also like Isaiah 49:15 "See! I will not forget you...I have carved you on the palm of my hand." The visual I get from that verse comforts me. Cyn

1. Married for 17 years to a wonderful man, Paul. 2. we have two girls, ages 12 and 10. 3. Not really. I used to enjoy reading mysteries but got away from that. 4. I was saved the summer after I turned 10 and rededicated my life in 1992. 5. Someone sent us a verse and $100 bill when we were going through some hard times. Paul had gotten fired (for being honest) but the Lord took care of us. Paul was without a job for only two weeks. He came home on a Wednesday and told me and I told him he needed to go to church and talk to our pastor. He went up at the end of service and talked with the pastor and several people came and put their hands on Paul and prayed for him. Well, he came home and this particular man's name popped into his head and said "call him." Well, at first Paul couldn't remember this man's phone number because it had been about a year since he had talked to him. Then, all of a sudden, Paul remembered the number. He called this man and just so happened, they had a job opening and Paul got the job. Anyway, back to the verse, I got side tracked. Anyway, the verse that they sent with the $100 bill was Isaiah 40:31 "But those who wait on the Lord will find new strength. They will fly high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint." That brought me great comfort at that time in our life and still does. Anyway, didn't mean to get side tracked. Have a great afternoon!!! Shel

Since I was 6 but I was baptized at 9. 5. Do you have a 'life verse'? I can do all things thru Christ who gives me the strength.. and a song... WHO SO EVER SURLEY MEANETH ME!! I have always loved the Lord even though there were times in my life I was not as close to him as I wanted to be.. thank God he does't give up on us!! Linda
