My husband hosts a small Alpha Group at our church, (covlife.org), we are in week 3 of the 11. The fundemental questions from people of other faiths, no faith, as well as, anti-faith are very insightful. I thank God that his Word can answer every question and address every situation. He is awesome. We have a Muslim, a Jehovah Witness, an Atheist, a Buddist and many protestants, that have either fallen away or are not born again. There is total of 95 people this time around. I am asking that our little group of 13, (actually all 95), have an eye opening and heart softening, holy spirit moment. Please pray for us? The irony of the program is that it being led by someone who was a profound staunch atheist in his college years. Today, a very very smart man with a sweet tender heart, who has led 25 Alpha Sessions, (average two a year). So, please pray for each person, their needs and the state of their relationship with God. I am so grateful to Our Lord an Savior for each and every one of you and your tender prayers. Sally

That sounds very interesting and like a great outreach. I do pray that each person will find the Lord. Apparantly they are at least somewhat seekers or they would not bother to come. Blessings! Gina

Hi Sally, It just amazes me the ways The Lord works in each of our lives, And how He can use anyone from any background to reach His chosen people. Imagine God using an atheist to reach people for Christ. Hey why not~look at Saul One of the most well known atheist's to ever convert. God bless you, Annette

Alpha is powerful...and it does not surprise me that a former atheist is successful at teaching it. It is a powerfully transforming class. Even though I was raised in church, I attribute my "surrender" moment to turn my life over to Christ at age 27 during my Alpha class weekend retreat. Remember, C S Lewis was an atheist at first too. I'm so happy to hear that so many non-Christians are attending the class, I will pray for them and your husband. Cyn
