I have my surgeon's name...finally!

Hello family, I received an email today from my nutritionist that said the reason I have not received my approval letter is because the approval committee is seriously backlogged and that includes my letter. But the nutritionist gave me the name of my GBS surgeon--Dr Bian Cantor. I am on the phone right now trying to set up my first appointment with him. Now they are telling me that I need to contact the Kaiser center where he is located to schedule an appointment. I already left a message for my PCP to enter my referral into the system. (Kaiser medical staff can go online to view referrals.) You know, I don't care how long it takes me tomorrow, but I do know that before the day is over, I will have my appointment scheduled with Dr. Cantor, even if I have to go over to that center in person! I am getting tired of the run around. I hope to have an appoint within the next 2 weeks. Lord, I am so ready for this!! Cara (coG627 )

Thinking of you today. It was nice to see an update, even if it's sort of like, uh, well, frustrating. Just stay faithful in your pursuit and be kind to those you meet along the way, and the Lord will see this through for you. Soooo happy that things are chugging along for you. Hi Sally, I know, I know. That was just frustration talking. I did call my pcp today to make sure he enters my referral into the computer. Then I called Dr. Cantor's office. They said once the referral is in the system, they will contact me to schedule an appointment. So things are beginning to move now. I just had to do something to remove the roadblock. Being on the inside of the insurance biz, I know what you have to do and who to call to get things done. That is exactly what I will do whenever there are stumbling blocks where there should be none.
