Prayers for God's will

Hi, I am George. I have posted on the men's board several times but this is my first post here. My first post and I am asking for something, How bout that. I have been asked by the board of Deacons at My church to consider accepting a nomination to be voted on by the church for Deacon. I ask that you Pray that God's will be done in this situation. I feel closer to God now than I have in years and I think that is the reason he has givin me this opritunity. Of corse I might not be voted in by the church but I feel that as long as God's will be done I will be okay with the turnout. Please pray for me in this situation. I just want it to be God's will--not mine. Thanks George

Good morning, George. I'm praying for you. His "will" is already in you. This is most likely just the next step. You are already having fellowship with us on the board and you'll most likely be talking to others about this issue. He's got you to be closer to Him lately and now you're offered a ministry within your church. Oh man you're being used alright. And just maybe someone reading this thread YOU started will bring them closer to Jesus. Stepping out of the comfort zone and talking about Christ is awesome. Go for it Geogre. peace, Glenn

Randall, Thanks for your prayers and support. I have decided to accept the nomination and now will leave it in God's hands. I really think it is his will. If the church does'nt see it the same way at least I pasted the test of Faith in his will. I an ready for any outcome. Thanks again every one and I will let you know how the Situation turns out. Just wanted to say thanks to every one who has been praying foe my situation. We had Deacon elections this past sunday and I did not make it. I am okay with it because I think God was tryiing to see if I would do what he ask, so I feel that I pased the test. I know that if it is his will for me, that it will happen on his time scale and not mine. Thanks again-George
