Just a thought I was having. What is your favorite music? Is it Contemporary Christian/Christian Rock/Christian Pop/Praise & Worship?? Just curious. Personally, when I became a Christian 6+ years ago I quit listening to all secular music. I got rid of all my records (my neice calls them giant CD's), tapes and CD's that were not Christian or glorifying to God in anyway. Now I have a very diverse taste of all kinds of Christian music out there today. Have a ton of CD's. My latest buy was Chris Tomlin "Arriving". Beautiful music. I like mellow music and also the contemporary Christian rock/pop music. Newsboys, Jars of Clay, David Crowder, Audio Adrenaline, Bebo Norman, DC Talk, Tait, DownHere, MercyMe, Paul Coleman, Sarah Kelly, Rebecca St. James, Third Day, FFH, Casting Crowns, Passion Worship Band, and there are more. There is alot of what people would like to call Christian music out there but I don't find some of it very glorifying to God. I like the up beat and I also like the more down to earth style of music. Listening to this type of music is much better than the music the "old me" used to listen to. Be blessed in all you do........Tammy Gibler

Love that "Arriving" CD. I am on the worship team at my church and I love Praise and Worship music. Anything Hillsongs is A-ok with me. Darlene Zsech is AWESOME! I also like some gospel music (mostly of praise & worship nature). I like Sara Groves, Clint Brown, Chris Tomlin, Michael W. Smith, Carmen, Mercy Me. My 13 year old son and I love the "Cartoon Song". LOVE IT! YABADABADOYAH!!!!! SCOOBYDOOBYDOOYAH!!!! Being silly now. I also like many of the groups like Mary Mary, Avalon, The Katina's and Phillips, Craig and Dean. I praise God for the gift of music that He gave us. I was classically trained and have an appreciation for all types of Christian music. (gospel, praise and worship, reggae, some hip-hop, contemporary, instrumental) My favorite choir is Brooklyn Tabernacle.

I too got hooked on praise music after many years of secular music. It just felt so good to hear good music AND a good message in the lyrics. Christian music has changed so much and praise God so many young artists are making great contemporary music. May I suggest for those that like Mary Mary, you must listen to the Nicole C Mullen "Everyday People" in it entirety. It is AWESOME. Mullen is a musical genius, and I would not consider myself a fan of rap or funk music, but she manages to blend so many sounds and voices (like her kids) into her music. For some mellow yet upbeat, may I suggest a relative unknown named David Phelps. Check out his website and listen to some clips. He was formerly the tenor in the Gaither Vocal Band. Yes, that is southern gospel, but oh my can he sing. He is going solo now and has a few CDs. On his website, listen to the video for "End of the Beginning" and you will be hooked.

You both have wonderful taste in music. Several years back my husband and I went to see 4HIM and the Katinas. It was an awesome concert. I have also seen FFH in concert and I now have 3 of their CD's. Have been wondering about David Phelps and if I've heard any of his songs on the radio or not. You'd probably like Rebecca St. James. She's awesome and I missed her in concert the last time she was in the area. You are right that this music is very uplifting. My husband is a drummer on our praise and worship team at church as we just did that song from Chris Tomlin this past Sunday called "How Great Is Our God". WOW. It brought me to my knees and I'm not kidding. The power of the Holy Spirit was all over that song and the people in the church. I love how God uses music to minister to us in His way. It's not the worship team or the worship pastor singing the lead vocals......it's all about GOD!! Check out this website and listen to some of Chris Tomlin's music. I PROMISE it will bless your socks off!!

I guess I would be considered a hodge podge.I love Praise and Worship, Contemporary Christian, good old Southern Gospel and the older groups groups ie Happy Goodmans, The Cathedrals and of course the Gaither Vocal Band. I would love to know others preferences as will. God bless you all.

Praise and worship, hands down. I love to glorify God. The Gaither's are my all time favorite. For massage therapy, I use Theresa Griffith's music.

Hey Tammy! I love the Passion music, Mary Mary, 3rd Day, Carmen, Lenny LeBlanc, Newsboys, just about any music as long as it glorifies God! I'm on the Praise Team at our church and I love it. I play keyboard also. Have a great and blessed day! Randall
