Update on Missy - Melissa Ledbetter

Just wanted to give yall an update on my friend Missy. She went to ortho consult last Friday - Good news - surgery not needed - but she has to be non-weight-bearing for 4-6 weeks. Dr. M said he would not do wls until she could be weight-bearing because he did not want her to develop clots. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers - Her insurance changes to BCBS effect 9-1-05 - so If she cannot have wls before then she will have to meet BCBS wonderful guidelines. She does go back to ortho in 4 weeks - if she can be weight bearing Dr M said he would work with her to make her surgery happen before September. I really don't understand why things happen the way they do - but I know God is in control - Please join me in trusting and believing God to take care of this situation.
