Hey everyone!! Hope everyone had a good weekend!!! I have a question that has been pondering my mind like crazy. I have tried to find a scripture on it but I can't think of where to go. How do you think GOD feels about WLS? Do you think we are destructing what HE meant for us to be or do you feel that we are "cutting off what offends us" as the Bible states that it is ok to get rid of anything that offends us or puts us in harms way? What do you all think? If you have any scriptures to read, list them please. Oh yeah...HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!! Trina

Really good question! I(and my husband) will look into this one. Always a reason to get into his word, ya' know. Get back at you, okay? Sally

Stepping out on a limb for this one. I firmly believe that God wants us healthy and will honor our decision to do this surgery. For me, it was to rid myself of the very thing that was causing me pain, gluttony, and reliance on food versus God. Honestly, I've had to rely on him now versus food and that was a huge shift in my thinking and doing. It shows me that I could trust him all along. Am I thrilled at the choice I made before Him? Yes. Is my heart pure before him in this decision? Yes. It wasn't a cosmetic choice but one of a health decision before something major beyond borderline diabetes happened to me. I do believe that with a pure heart, God honors your choice to do this. He gave you free choice and if you have deep, silent peace that this is his giving you the okay...then by all means, do so. Hi Trina, I look at this as undoing the damage I have done to my body. I take comfort in 1 Cor. 6:19-20. "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body." Hope this helps. Together in Christ, Mary Hunter
