Help for hair loss
Hi Shelley,
I had horrible hair loss. I am just blessed because I started with about 4 times more hair than the usual person, but it became noticable. It also had dried out and frizzed real bad (I have curly hair) and was useless. It was just this puffy frizz ball sitting on my head. What I did was cut my hair off really short so my brush wouldn't pull it out so bad. (I mean it was spiky short!) I know this approach isn't for everyone, I am just really daring when it comes to cutting my hair.
My hair started falling out between 3-4 months post op, but stopped around 6 months. And, yes, it grows back. Only mine is coming back with a lot of gray!!! UGH! LOL
My dietary guide book said to take biotin, folic acid, and calcium/magnesium/zinc. I couldn't find biotin in the pharmacies, you may have to go to a health food store. I, too, was faithful with my protein. Most of the people I have talked to who are post-op have said the hair loss is inevitable no matter what you do.
In His love,
Sherri
