Thank God

I have finally been able to get all my vitamins, proper food and my protein shakes and have already noticed a difference in how I feel and it's only been about a week or two. My doc called me today and told me that the blood work, I had done yesterday, shows a significant improvement. I am still having major left sided pain. This has been going on for about two weeks. he told me yesterday he thinks it might be my spleen or maybe my "old" tummy. He said the only way he can check my old tummy is to open me up and pull it out and do an endoscope while someone else holds it up and out for him. it means of course a hospital stay. I am so not ready for this but don't want to live on Vicodan the rest of my life either. he is quite concerned. I am having a ct scan on Monday. pray for me. We know it works!!!!!!!!!!! I wanted to update you on the CT scan of my abdomen and pelvis I had yesterday. I had iv contrast and drank some stuff then saw my surgeon. He said SOMETHING showed up. he is not sure what. He doesn't THIONK it is a tumor or malignancy which he previously thought. But some sort of loop or pouch filled with fluid of some kind. Maybe left over from the surgery when I had the bowel obstruction and takedown of the old JIB wls the year before my gastric bypass. SOOOOOO, this Thursday, I have to have another more complicated scan. They are going to use a long needle (which scares me a little) to go directly into that area and shoot dye in it while they scan again. I will have to stay at the hospital all day for him to just "watch" me. This will tell him exactly what he is dealing with. He has already told me that whatever it is, I will have to have surgery to correct it but at this point, he thinks it will be laproscopically. When this issue is resolved, I will be alright. I feel so much better after getting my shakes and vitamins again. I lost two of the pounds I had gained last week. BUMMER!!! I was hoping to keep it on and add a few more. Oh well.
