I'm home from surgery!!

Got home about an hour ago from Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where I had a laparoscopic roux-en-y gastric bypass the day before Thanksgiving. The care was just excellent! The hospital has a new bariatric center that is dedicated to weight loss surgery. The doctors and nurses could not have been better!! Thanks Loriann for the calls -- and thanks to all for the prayers. I feel very good -- just a little gas and achiness. I have no dranes -- just 7 small incisions that are covered by steri-strips. I will be going back to the doctor in two weeks for the regular checkup! Talk with you all later!!

Well, Congats! I am excited for you. I am still on the other side of surgery, and am getting exactly what you got Naturally happy to hear how well your surgery went. My date is 12/29/2004. I had originally thought I would have surgery before Thanksgiving, but there were scheduling issues at the surgeons office with the hospital. Praise God it is done though. I am excited to see your progress. I will keep you lifted up in prayer. God Bless You!
