Has anyone read this book ? I am reading it now and man .. does it ever make great sense . For the longest time I went around wondering where i fit in at .. and to find that all I have to do is give it to God and he will direct me to his plan and purpose .. The passage where he talks about God designing me for his purpose .. that really blew me away .. I had said for many years that God has kept me alive for a purpose .. My biggest gift to him now is to sing his praises and tell people how he has blessed my life .. and to tell non believers about Gods Great Love and his Gift to us JESUS ! The book is great .. I am not done yet .. but am enjoying it . Take care , Natalie

Hi Natalie! It is an awesome book! That's what we were created for! His Purpose! When we seek His purpose, everything else falls into place! God bless, Randall

Hi Natalie, My church read it as a congragation. We had the week to read a chapter, and re-read it. Then on Sunday we would hear a sermon on that chapter and discuss it. it was awesome. Take your time reading it. Awesome......that's all I can say. Corinn

Hi Natalie, I too have read the book and it really impacted my life. I also wondered why am I here? Why did God allow me to live through health conditions that killed most people? I knew I had a purpose but I didn't know what it was. I was struggling trying to figure all of this out, waiting for a great production of visions, voices or something dramatic to let me know what God wants me to do. After reading the book I realized I was created for God's glory and whatever my passion was I am to do it to the glory of God. Losing weight for me is a necessity in order for me to do what God has designed me to do. Now I know why I was healed and I look forward to my future in ministry. I hope you enjoy the rest of the book. Georgeann

This book came up in a previous discussion and my opinion differed from the majority. I am very concerned about the Rick Warren movement and the scripture being re-defined through his interpretations. I strongly encourage all who have begun "the purpose studies", to read each every verse correctly from your Bible once it is referenced in the book. I found some slight and some not-so-slight misinterpretations. I'm sorry everyone for not agreeing with you on this matter. I strongly rec. another Christian website called Fundemental Baptisit Institute. Their chats on Rick Warren and the Purpose Thing are amazing, and will make you think. Love ya'all really, really do! But for me, it's the Bible, all the way. No "companion writings" needed. Thanks for letting me pine in. Sally

Hi Sally, Thanks for the info. I havn't heard anything about the book but I have heard to be careful of the new movement going on in the churches, called the purpose driven church. Im wondering if there the same things. I will go to the web site. Hope Im not stepping on anyone's toes. Blessings Geri

Hi Sally, I agree with you. I am reading the book now with my husband, but I also truly believe we need to go back into the Bible after each chapter and read the verses that are referenced so as to be able to decipher what that meaning is from His Word and not someone else's interpretation. I am enjoying the book because it does make you think and ponder on your purpose and that is good for all of us, but we ultimately need to keep our minds and focus on the only true and living book and that is the Bible. God Bless all of you on this site. -Diana-
