Good Morning Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Yesterday I had my pre-op phys., had blood drawn and typed, peed in a cup, had my chest x-rayed, ran a tape on my heart, and celebrated my 16th wedding anniversay, (kinda). It was an exhausting day. I'm getting nervous and a little anxious. Please lift me and my family in prayer. Mommy has never been away from the house for more than one night. Thanks everyone for your kind words and support. Love ya'll, ally

Hey Sally, Congrats on your date! You will do great . Also congradulations on 16 years! I will be praying for you and your family. I had my surgery in May and what a blessing it's been... down 70 pounds so far, 70 more to go. Life is completely different now. Couple of words of advice that I wish someone had told me before surgery, (you might already have heard this)... 1. The next day when you have to do the barium leak test, SIP the liquid. You'll be use to taking a regular sized gulp, but try to remember to take a little sip. That stuff is nasty, and you don't need a whole lot going through your stomache for the doctor to see it. 2. If they give you Milk of Magnisia (sp?) while in the hospital, just know that you can refuse it if you want. I got horrible diahrrea after taking it and I wish I had refused to take it - I really didn't feel like jumping up out of the bed every hour to run to the bathroom. Something you might want to talk to your surgeon about. God bless you and carry you through this surgery! Love in Him, Pam

This is the exciting part, you are almost there! I was more nervous the day I decided to start pursuing the surgery than I was on my actual surgery date. Kind of funny, huh? The Lord is awesome and he will bring you through fine, as well as watch over your family while you are away. Bless you, Sherri 14 weeks post-op
