DEAR FAMILY, I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE ELSE HAS A RELIGIOUS OR INSPIRATIONAL STORY THEY'D LIKE TO SHARE. THIS IS ANOTHER OF MY FAVORITES. LOVE, CARMELLA THE CROSS ROOM A MAN WAS SO BURDENED BY HIS PROBLEMS IN LIFE, "THE CROSS" HE HAD TO BEAR, THAT HE ASKED THE LORD IF IT WAS POSSIBLE TO TRADE HIS CROSS WITH SOMEONE WHO HAD LESS PAIN, LESS PROBLEMS, LESS HARDSHIP. THE LORD SAID, "YES, MY SON." AND LED HIM TO "THE CROSS ROOM". GOD TOLD THE MAN TO GO IN, LAY HIS CROSS AGAINST THE WALL, AND LOOK FOR ONE THAT HE FELT WOULD BE EASIER TO BEAR. THE MAN ENTERS THE ROOM, LAYS HIS CROSS AGAINST THE WALL AND STARTS WALKING THROUGH THE ROOM. THE MAN IS STUNNED BY THE TREMENDOUS NUMBER OF MASSIVE CROSSES IN THE ROOM. SOME OF THEM WERE SO HUGE THAT HE COULDN'T SEE THE TOPS OF THEM THROUGH THE CLOUDS. HE SEARCHED AND SEARCHED UNTIL FINALLY HE LOOKED ALL THE WAY IN THE CORNER OF THE ROOM WHERE THERE WAS A TINY LITTLE CROSS LAYING UP AGAINST A WALL. HE RAN OVER TO IT, AND SEEING HOW SMALL IT WAS COMPARED TO ALL THE OTHER CROSSES DECIDED THAT THIS IS THE ONE FOR HIM. SO, VERY HAPPILY, HE TOOK THE CROSS WITH HIM, AND SAID TO THE LORD," THIS IS IT LORD, THIS IS THE CROSS FOR ME, I'LL TAKE THIS ONE." AND THE LORD SAID TO HIM, "MY SON, THAT'S THE ONE YOU CAME IN WITH." LOVE TO ALL

Hi Carmella! Wow!! What a great story to read! We all look at our cross and think of how hard it is to bear, then we look at others and 99% of the time, their's is bigger and harder to bear. The one true cross that was hard to bear was carried by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as He carried His cross all the way to Calvary. He bore that cross for you and I! What love! Thanks Carmella for reminding me of my cross and how small it is compared to those around me! God bless! Randall

I have been on the verge of tears all day...and now they flow freely. I read this story not long ago, but how refreshing to see it again, just when I am feeling like the cross I bear is the largest one there is. I am getting ready to start school (I'm 41, and have tried and failed before) on Monday and it seems like stress is coming at me like a freight train. I start school Monday...my daughter has a dentist appointment on Tuesday....my son is coming home from Korea on Thursday (US Army, been gone a year) and then, the next week, my first grader is out of school for the whole week for Fall break with no babysitter...I'm working on all of this...but it is so stressful! It just seems to all hit at once..... Please pray for me...for peace...for rest....for strength to handle all that is coming at me next week and beyond. I'd really like to be able to relax and enjoy seeing my darling son after his year of physical absence from my life....I want that hug....those hugs....instead of worrying about the stress of everyday life twisting up into it.... Thank you! Kandy
