Tomorrow's The Day!!
Well,
I'm on straight liquids as of right now. I decided to start sipping on the Propel, to get a head start on the vitamins. I just took my first FLAGYL, and I'm supposed to take one in an hour, and then another one around ten o'clock. We're to be at the hospital by 6:15am
I called a prayer line of a tv minister whom I like alot. While she was encouraging me, her cell phone rang (which isn't supposed to happen), and she learned that her mother was seriously ill. So, after she prayed for me, I prayed for her. I felt much better, being reminded to take my mind off myself and try to be a blessing to someone.
Afterwards, I was getting ready for church. I was five minutes before heading out the door, and the phone rings. You see, we had Dish network installed yesterday, and for some reason our computers stopped working. We called the telephone people and they said it would be about 24hrs before we'd hear from anyone (I won't go into how difficult it was to have no computer).
So he calls this morning, but I tell him the problem was straightened out, as my husband noticed that the filter was not applied, so the satellite interfered with the computer. I told the man on the phone to not blame the installer, as the night before was a major storm, and I'm sure his day had been filled with trying to work on roofs without breaking his neck.
The man on the phone agreed, and next thing you know, out of the blue, he starts talking to me about how the Lord doesn't condemn you for mistakes that are made while doing the right thing. He started telling me how God is working for us and through us, and how the things we go through now are for our own good, and that the work we do now, and how we need to have total trust in Him, and that we can be assured that the Lord would be there in our time of need.
It was amazing. I told him how much he blessed me, being that I was going into surgery tomorrow and I was a little nervous. You know what? He prayed for me! The dispatcher technician of Dish Network PRAYED FOR ME!
Afterwards, he told me how he had spent the last five months caring for his wife who had been in a coma, and how he managed to see her through the coma - not because of the church members who were less than helpful in most cases - but because of his faith in Christ. He wasn't blaming the church, he was very understanding, but he made clear that it was his faith in the Lord that brought his wife back and strengthened him. He and his wife are even in the same age range as me and my husband! So I prayed for him and family, we exchanged phone numbers and he made me promise to contact him and let him know how I'm doing.
What a morning. God speaks to me twice even before I go to church, and I get to pray for someone and share His love in the process.
What a morning.
I know alot you have different views of how Christ works in our lives, so please don't be offended by this rather long email. It's just that I need to rely on His providence, because after all is said and done, He's the only person in my life that I know fully understands my fears.
What a great day...not to go and take off this makeup!LOL
