Diane T's passing..
Please take time to lift up Diane's family in prayer. How heart breaking this must be. (For those of you who aren't aware, check out the main board).
I was reading her profile, and she was so excited about her surgery. This is so terribly sad. She evidently was a lady of great faith though, so we know she is right now in the arms of Jesus.
Would I be selfish in saying that this has scared me to death? Is that normal?
I am going through process of approval, and am suddenly leaning towards forgetting it. I don't want to leave my babies...
God bless you all,
Kathy
DEAREST KATHY,
I WAS SO VERY SADDENED BY DIANE'S PASSING.
I DID NOT KNOW HER BUT I READ HER SURGERY SUPPORT PAGE. IT MOVED ME TO A PLACE OF AWARENESS NOT FEAR.
WE ARE ALL (HOPEFULLY) AWARE OF THE RISKS OF THIS SURGERY. WE MUST PROCEED WITH AN ARMFUL OF KNOWLEDGE, CONFIDENCE IN THE ABILITY OF OUR DOCTOR, AND MUCH PRAYER. WE ARE ALL ON A JOURNEY, NOT JUST A WEIGHTLOSS JOURNEY , BUT A JOURNEY IN FAITH. I BELIEVE IF WE HAVE FAITH IN JESUS, AND CONFIDENCE IN HIS LOVE FOR US, THEN EVERYTHING WILL BE AS IT SHOULD.
REMEMBER, "THY WILL BE DONE".
I'VE ALWAYS TRIED TO TEACH MY FAMILY,THAT EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON, AND THAT REASON IS ALWAYS GOOD, EVEN IF WE CANNOT UNDERSTAND GODS INFINITE WISDOM AT THE TIME.
"LET GO AND LET GOD"
LOVE,
CARMELLA
Carmella,
Amen Carmella... your words were of much comfort to me. I too, saw the post about Diane T on the main board and went in and read her surgery page. What a very sad story. I am so pleased that she is in the comfort oh our Father's arms right now. But...It did also give me a scare as I am in the process of scheduling surgery. Your reply to Kathy's post helped me to remember that our Father is in control. He know's the steps we will take today, tomorrow and in our last day.... He has a plan for each of us and as long as we keep that in mind it will give us the confindence to press on without fear!
Deuteronomy 31:8
And the LORD, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed."
God Bless, Shirlene
I'm so sorry to hear about Dianes passing. Kathy I went though something similar of what your going through about wondering if I should continue. Because I was keeping it in prayer that God would continue to open doors if it was his will to continue on. Will this threw me for a loop because I believe 3 people had passed away right before I was to have my surgery. For me he kept opening up other doors to where I just knew it was his will to continue on. And for that I am ever so grateful.
Blessings
Geri
