Hi yall

Hi guys! I'm a one of the youth pastors at my church, and am scheduled to have surgery July 28th. I've received many negative reactions from my congregation on my decision for WLS. Is there any particular way you handled this in a church setting? Thanks for you help and prayers! Brittany

Hi, I could tell from the "hi ya'll" that you were from the south;)! Just tell them that you've placed your well-being in God's hands, and that God didn't make us to be miserable!

Hi Brittany, I first learned about WLS from our church nurse. She brought the surgeon in to do a seminar right at the church. She used a couple of different scriptures that really ministered to me and convicted me that this was the right thing to do.
