Praise and Prayer

Hi Everyone,

I've been off the boards a lot since the hurricane had us shut down completely for days.  I've been sick and got sicker before I got better.  I had an earache that lasted over a month.  Saw doctors here and in Michigan.  Went to the ER multiple times.  Nobody could see anything wrong.  Finally, last week, saw an ENT doc who is an associate of my doc and he saw a bad sinus infection.  I've been on megadoses of antibiotics and steroids since Wednesday.  The earache is finally gone.  I was supposed to see him the day the hurricane hit, and had to miss.  Then, I had to wait till we and they both got power.

The good news is, I see my regular ENT on Thursday.  It takes a month, or more, to get an appointment with him.

The prayer request is about my desired move to Michigan.  My daughter used to encourage me to move out there, and now comes up with all sorts of reasons for me not to.  I hate being so far from most of my family.  My kids are all over the map.  My older, married son lives in Manhattan, a 90 minute train ride away, but he and his wife are probably not going to have kids.  My baby boy, age 30, lives in Pittsburgh, 6 hours away. and I get to see him when I am going to or from Michigan, to see his sister and the three Munchkins.  They are 12 hours away.

Anyway, I have really lousy credit, and really won't be able to find a place to rent in an apartment complex.  My daughter and son-in-law have a rental they are working on, but currently have a no pet policy.  She knows I'd like to move in there, but claims I won't be able to afford to move.

I'm expecting a settlement offer from my car insurance company from being rear-ended by another of their customers in August.  They mentioned it, but won't make me an offer till my doctor discharges me from his care, which will be next Monday.  I'm hoping that offer comes swiftly and is sufficient for a move.

The rents and cost of living where she lives is much lower than here.  The Philadelphia Metropolitan Area is expensive in everyway, and I am on a fixed income.

Anyway, I need some wisdom and guidance from the Lord.

Hugs,

Trish

Prayers are up and I hope you get a big enough settlement. I got one once but it was only a couple hundred dollars and payment of my chiropractor's bill. Hope your's is better! I know how much you enjoy the kidlets, just hope it won't cause issues with the daughter. Well God will lead the way, which ever way that is!

So glad you are feeling better and survived the hurricane, so many others are in horrible shape. Try to stay healthy for awhile! As I keep saying the same to myself! kiss

More prayer needed.  My car died this afternoon.  In addition to not really affording the repairs, I have two really important doctor appointments I've been off Coumadin for tomorrow, a cortisone shot and dental work.  Then, I need to see the ENT doc Thursday, because it takes a month to see him, and I feel like I'm getting sick again tonight.  My entire family is out of town.  I've left two messages with friends hoping to scrounge up some rides and I have public transportation as a last resort for tomorrow, but it's not an ideal situation being in the suburbs with no sidewalks once I get off the bus.
